When deals don’t work out

Hey all! I went to pick up a pony on FB marketplace and the person didn’t show up at all. I waited half an hour after driving 40 minutes to go pick these ponies up but turns out she just completely forgot that we were meeting I’m not mad but it definitely put a damper on my day and I don’t want to drive all the way back to get them. Leaving ponies behind is difficult for me but sometimes it happens. I just wanted to ask how y’all deal with stuff like this not working out or have ever had an eBay/Marketplace/etc transaction go poorly. I know it’s no big deal but it makes me so sad! Y’all are so good on here about selling/trading that I think I’ve just gotten spoiled with good service lol.

Sadly it does happen. When I’ve arranged in person meetings before I try to contact them an hour or so before I leave just to confirm they are still going to show up. That doesn’t work every time. I’ve had plenty still not show up and that’s usually disappointing when they don’t. I’m sorry it didn’t go through for you. I know that has to be frustrating.

It's always disappointing when sellers does not meet the standards sellers should. It's always surprising to me when they're so wishy-washy about selling or spend days getting back to you.. you want the money? Sell it!

But I've had sellers agree to my offer, but turn around to sell to someone else for a few bucks more. Or they adjust the price on the market place for me to purchase, but someone else snipes it from me before I get the chance to purchase and the seller just shrugged it off "They bought it first" despite we have an agreement (That was heartbreaking). I mope and get angry for a while, then I brush it off telling myself "hey, I didn't give my money to this rude seller. Someone else kinder will get it." or the fact I saved money helps.

I sell things, and I want to sell things fast and I want to ensure they're happy customers. I don't want to keep them waiting or wasting their time as I don't want my time wasted either. That's why I like it here, we can easily communicate, share more pictures and send funds via paypal G&S.
