My Christmas gift this year was a family trip to New Mexico, and I knew I wanted to get some sweet pony photos. However, I didn’t want to carry around one of my customs, risking damage and taking up space in my handbag. The solution? My rehaired World’s Smallest Minty and one of my first resin ponies!

since I can’t get the hang of formatting posts with multiple photos on mobile, I’ll have to make a new reply for each photo. That’s fine, since it gives me time to rack em up! Hope that’s not spamming.

Santa Fe and the surrounding areas can get pretty frosty. The first of these photos is from Minty’s first taste of snow at the ski rental a couple days ago. Then today, we woke up to see a fine blanket of snow at the rental house, and the frozen birdbath made a fine skating rink for our girls!

What today lacked in decent photography skills, it more than made up for in great experiences. In the morning we went to a Japanese onsen-inspired spa, and the light snowfall made the heated baths and saunas even more stunning. Minty seems like more of the quiet meditative type, so this was perfect for her. Starfall (as is her name now) preferred the intrigue and art of the Meow Wolf interactive attraction, The House of Eternal Return. That place is too incredible for photos.

12/30- The International Folk Art Museum was a delight. There were plenty of exhibits that caught my attention— the gallery of works inspired by artists’ experiences during COVID, the Yokai exhibition complete with a small haunted house attraction… but the massive gallery of toys and miniatures seemed right for this thread. I was in love with the mini toy shop!

On the same day, while we drove to Taos, I made sure we stopped at this winery. Because I thought we’d all like a little wine tasting. And NOT because I needed to buy stuff with the Black Mesa name to satisfy myself and my friends, who all have various levels of obsession with the greater body of Half Life works.

(One of my college besties has the games as a lifelong fixation, another bestie is currently fixated on RTVS’ Half Life VR series, and I was obsessed with Portal in high school. We make a good team.)

My final poorly-focused photo for the trip, at Garden of the Gods in Colorado. Now that I'm home, I'll get to work on making the rehairing tutorial and getting sales started for handmade items from my World's Smallest molds. Like this Lemondrop hairclip (among my messy workshop)!
