Taming bangs?

I made a custom with rooted bangs
and the hair is sticking up when I want it to lay flat.

I tried curling and gel as well but it's not working
my last resort is gluing them, which I don't want to do.

I believe I made the plugs too thick, or just had too many rows.

What can I do please?

Pour boiling water over them and they should stay down. Not hot tap water but boiling water. I usually put a cup of water in the microwave until I see it begin to boil and then pour that over the hair. Be careful not to pour it on yourself, maybe hold the head by the mane as your pour the water over the bangs.

ooh and please try to get the gel out! I don't think that's good for displaying pony hair!
I might try dipping it in the boiling water to avoid spilling it on your hand, then press it flat the way you want it. Maybe dip it again. Wrap a paper towel around the head to dry it and hold it in place simultaneously.

Be careful with acrylic paint and wet hair tho. Wet hair can botch up a nice paint job if it isn't sealed or protected. My first pony had that problem because I'd used wig hair which doesn't like being used on ponies. I used a regular shirt iron to get her hair to lay down flatter after trying water. I almost ruined her pink paint!! I learned the hard way and didn't ask first. There are so many people here with great tips its always better to ask instead of making a mistake you and your pony will hate you for. LOL.

Damage isn't irreversible, just time consuming. :icon_razz1:

Yeah, you can wrap it/hold it down with a paper towel but like Rayevolution mentioned it can damage your paint job if it was a full body repaint. The paper towel can leave an imprint on the paint/sealer.The same thing can happen if you wrap the hair directly onto the painted pony, it can leave creases in the finish where the hair was laying.

Thank you so much for the tips!
The boiled water worked great, I ended up cutting them really short though

As for the paint, I just chipped it off to flatten, then I repainted after
