Hey everyone. We are lucky enough to have bought one of the McDonald’s Happy Meal displays (from 2012) a few years ago, but over the years the adhesive tape has given away and the toys have fallen out. I’ve tried two different brands of double sided sticky tape with no luck. Does anyone have any recommendations? We’re probably going to be selling this soon too, so if anyone has any bonus ideas of how much that it would be going for or how much they’d be willing to pay, please let me know XD

It’s complete still, any of the toys that are missing in this first picture have just fallen to the bottom. You can see my attempts to use double sided sticky tape. It even came with two of the double sided light box advertisements, and is kept in the cardboard that the next display came in, as in they took it off the wall and put it in the box that the one that they were putting up in the store came in.

If you're not worried about removal of the toys, you could always superglue? But I'd worry about discoloration over time. Maybe twist/zip ties?

If anyone is curious, here is the display in a mostly new state!

What about blue tac? I think it would hold them up, but idk if long term it would discolor them

All that comes to my mind is Command picture hanging strips but I don’t know if that’s really the correct thing to use if you’re trying to keep originality. Although it would probably work very well since you can cut those to size

Ohh the Velcro ones would work perfectly!

Thanks for the advice so far, everyone. To answer a few questions, I don’t wanna do anything permanent like superglue if I can help, I want to actually restore this. These are the two products I used. Everything looked like it was a foam tab so I bought the double sided tape that looked like foam in order to do it but everything fell off so quickly that you could hear it once I it put away!

I don’t know what brand the blue one is, but the blue is just the layer that protects the tape from sticking to itself. And yes, I see that there was a trap door there on the Scotch one, I didn’t notice that when I tore it open. I promise I’m not a monster XD

I even used rubbing alcohol to clean off the toys where they were going to make contact with the tabs because that’s what the 3M pulltabs tell you to do before you adhere them to your wall.
