Because of technical difficulties I could never properly get started on this forum, so I want to do it proper this time.
I'm Emfen and you have probably seen me somewhere on the web at one point or another, as I make art and just love collecting ponies. Ponies are my most passionate hobby for when times are tough, I look to them and remember the great times me and my sister shared.
I am currently working towards becoming a cake decorator, because I enjoy sculpting a lot.
In most recent times I have started taking photos of my beloved nirvanas that I have;

Like you I love my ponies as they remind me of childhood with my sisters.
I love baking & cake decorating too when there's time. It's probably a good thing I don't do to much, One my cake munching gains momentum it's not pretty lol

You have to show us some of your gourmet cake creations :)

Wow cake decorator sounds fun! You should definetly talk with skygleamshine ;) She too makes cakes :p (and we ofc wanna see your creations too^^)

Hopefully I can link facebook photos, I have thus far been in charge of decorating a 40 pcs Harry Potter themed cake and a 16 pcs Mario cake. I have yet to learn to handle machines and recipes, but I have progressed from just counting stock to actually working hands-on in a short few months. The second photo is from the official site of the bakery. I decided that cake decor was it for me after being shown the options that are available from graduating art college, sometimes school don't have it all available so I'm going my own way and am being hand tutored by my mom which is second in command.

Unfortonately I have not yet done that Skygleamshine! :(
I was allowed to make a frozen cake with an elsa-esque doll in it earlier this year, but there wasn't many pictures taken of it. I honestly long for a cake with MLP theme as I would just love to decorate that!:ponylove:
I have my eyes set on that vintage wilton cake tin and those vintage cookie cutters solely because of that! It would be a dream come true if hasbro made new cookie cutters featuring vintage ponies one day. Sculpting with marzipan is like clay, except you use powdered sugar to get it less sticky. I'm having time off the job right now, but now I'm wanting to go back solely because how fun it is haha!

Have you used fondant? Its a bit sticky, but acts like Play Doh and you can dye it easily
 
Your cakes are beautiful @Emfen. Cake decorating would be the BESTEST job in the world.
I've done a few brithday cakes, my cousins wedding cake & I bake a christmas cake every year just to have an excuse to decorate it :) I'm strictly an amateur compared to you guys

Emfen, your cakes are so lovely! You're very talented, I think you'll do well indeed, decorating cakes!
