I'm a sucker for a Nordic Ware pan and I love to bake! You got any Nordic brand pretty bundt or loaf pans just collecting dust in your kitchen cabinet? I got a good home for them were they'll be well used <3 Right now I'm looking for cookie presses and any decorative pans or bundt pans. I am a pan snob so Nordic Ware brand only please :)

Can I just come to your house and watch you bake stuff? Seriously. I am scared to use stuff like this because I think it'll get stuck in the pan.

Teach me your ways, master.

Visit anytime and we will BAKE!
And you wouldn't be the slightest bother cause I totally talk to myself when I'm cooking like I've got my own cooking show :lolpony: Especially when I'm making something really complicated or new, it's like I have to verbally go through the steps with myself.
That and I like to talk to my batter

As for pans with nooks and crannies, equal parts oil, shortening and flour. Mix it up, keep in fridge and use on your pans, if it's really got a crazy pattern I brush it on with a stiff kitchen brush :satisfied:

How long does said magical mixture last in the fridge? Does it solidify because of the shortening? I’m so fascinated by this trick.

I always used the old school... wipe with shortening, then dust with flour. You’re brilliant!

It'll last for several months. It does stiffen up a little bit in fridge but once you put some on your pan and start moving it around it softens. It's just like the old shortening and flour just all in one and I think the oil helps nonstick a little more.
I'm gonna make a small batch with cocoa powder instead of flour to try on all my chocolate baked goods just to see. I will report my findings :)

Oo... good idea. Now I must make brownies!

I am getting ready to clean out my grandparents house so if I find any I will let you know!
