:hippie:

I have completed my first custom (the one I asked all of the previous questions for help on... will be posting some pics soon!), and will be starting a couple of new projects (restores) this week.

Here are the situations.... :hide:

1. I've got some ponies who fell victim to my family's German Shepard (bless his soul) and they're missing, well, pieces.... ears, wings, hooves, and one even has a gash in his side.

I have sculpy now because Michaels has been having sales on the stuff, so I've picked up a good amount of it, but I must ask (since the MLP Preservation project doesn't say).... how else can you get it hard and dry without baking it in the oven? Wouldn't that melt the pony?

2. I have a magic message Windy that I got at the thrift store I go to every week now, and her hair isn't the issue now that I've got everything I need to rehair a pony. The problem is the symbol....(I have this problem with the other MM pony I have, but she's in better condition, just missing an ear otherwise... see question 1... *sigh*)... it's rubbed off. I can see what the symbol is supposed to be, but what was it supposed to be underneath? Would you restore a pony with this issue (as well as dry, massively chopped hair), or bait her out? I'm quite torn about this girl.

As always, thank you all for your assistance and advice!

To answer your first question, When I use sculpey I heat a coffee mug of water in the microwave for 5 minutes and then dip whatever part of my figure has the sculpey on it into the water for about 10-15 seconds. I would not reccommend boilling water in a pot to do this however because the water gets too hot and can melt the plastic.

Windy's symbol is a tree, underneath on one side is apples and on the other a kite. I don't know of any way to repair it so that it can change still, I'd say if you were going to restore it you would have to pick either the trees or the "Magic Message" and paint that on after removing the old symbol with acetone. I will tell you that Magic Message ponies symbols are very annoying to remove, whatever they coated it with to make it change is very hard to get off.

If you have no problem painting symbols back on there is no reason to bait a pony that is missing their's.

Thank you so much!!!!
