New designs and Tween ponies coming out

actually the symbols don't even look real, the gradient looks like it's been done in photoshop or something.

I don't think it's photoshopped, otherwise we'd would have noticed it by now. And don't double post, just edit your post...

Anyway, as I was saying. It's very, very very very hard to recreate the lighting effect of a pony. More like, almost impossible and not worth it in the least unless this pony goes for well over $100. The symbols DO look real, they're factory-like and uniform; if they looked handpainted or stamped on, that would be different. The hoof heart is in the exact spot, the eyes match perfectly to Hasbro's... Personally, I say these ARE real ponies, and heck the tween might be but that tween just has too many problems.

Also, TENSIL. Do you realize how evil tensil is?! It's horrific, not only to yank out but to put in!

But, on the "Heart" gradient, as I'll call it, that pink/dark pink heart DOES look handpainted, most likely added on after the pony was done. I wouldn't be surprised if only the outline of the heart was added later, and maybe this pony just has an odd pink heart; possibly Hasbro was using it as a visual example like "No, it's missing something... Wait! Add a pink heart here" the pink heart is colored on "and outline it in darker pink..." and there's your outline. But, also, maybe the seller added it later on, or he/she simply recieved the pony this way.

Whereas the "Flower" gradient pony has a much more uniform flower symbol, and looks like the other flowers.

Not to mention, the Heart one looks like it's in a new pose, am I correct?

Either way, I highly doubt it was "photoshopped".

FAKES well done but obvious FAKES look at the poor hair, the crappy symbols, the tiny and not very well painted heart hoof logo, and they just look too goofy to me.

Saying that they are still cute fakes and I'd buy some if I saw them :)
yeah, because this seller has such a reputation for selling fakes.

i'm going to laugh so hard when these show up in stores.

Those are some wild designs!

EDIT: Post edited by request of someone who has left the community and no longer wants their name mentioned here. I don't know what's going on; I'm just complying with their request.

Geez that "tween" looks weird--don't care for that thing at all; LOL. :weird:

I think the pegs are fine but I am still undecided on the tafs as well for some reason they grab me as odd and I don't care for the colors. :?

sorry to post again, but I hadn't seen the other two. I think the tween is a fake because her tail is made of many holes and not just one, and her nose looks a bit odd like it was made from a poor mold and the details didn't come out clearly, the large ones also look odd because they all have rainbow dashes symbol and their hair looks dry and cheap. And they have lots of holes punched for the tail.

That being said perhaps the others are real, seeing as I hadn't seen the seller's other items until now I can see he/she does sell other legit prototypes and ponies. The hair on one looks like kimono's colour. It just seems odd to use hearts as a symbol, it's a bit basic and most fakes usually just have hearts or a star as a symbol.

I'm thinking if these are real prototypes they're gonna be a long time before hitting stores.

The auctions have just ended baggins. However i have the links, so if you PM me i'll give them you ^_^

New ponies

They kinda look like fakes to me too. The pegs look real an' the other ones don't IMO. I don't really care for the TAFs or the tween even if they are real. The TAF's symbols just look so....cheesy. The pegs are beautiful though!

Is there still debate whether these a fakes or not?...

These are PROTOTYPES...every prototype is hand painted..typically using old stock. They are depicting a "Style" of pony...not a specific character...hence the non-descrpit symbols! Why produce a new mold and/or paint mask for something that has not been greenlighted to production.

Whether these are proto's of upcoming lines or something they tried and passed on is anyone's guess...but they are Hasbro products, that's clear..atleast to those who know what a prototype is.

And the seller obviously has some connection to the Hasbro factory in China.
But if you've got "Fakie" on the brain...that's cool. :D

Whoever won those, got some great items that will definitely increase in value...especially if those ponies are never mass marketed. Congrats!

Andreas recently contacted Hasbro Germany about these ponies. It was confirmed that the metallic wings and taf styles will be out in early 2006. It was also said that Rarity the unicorn will be out in June 2006.

thanks for the scoop SilverFall. ^_^v *tries to save up money for new unicorn and all new ponies coming out.....

Exciting news! I definitely would have thought those metallic ponies were customs or maybe fakies, but I guess I was wrong. Tween ponies will be really cute, too! I always loved the SHS...

Tween is a word for a member of the age group 10-12, if I'm not mistaken. Most likely comes from in-between. Not a child, not yet a teenager. :p

I can't believe I missed all 11 pages of this thread. I must say, I really do think the blue peg reminds me of G1 Wind Whistler. (someone else said that waaay back earlier)

I'm not diggin' the "tween" pony. I'd probably skip that and the giant ones.

Hasbro really seems to be enjoying coming up with new pony designs. :D 3D symbols, scented ponies, and now these guys! Talk about creative.

Thanks for posting those pics, guys. They made my day!

Hey! I just thought of something! The two pegasus weren't in the episode "Friends Are Never Far Away!" Do you think this means by the time the metallic winged ones come out, all the others would have been released too?
