Okay, first of all, I am going to go into some personal life details here, so if you prefer not to read that sort fo stuff, please just skip over my post with my apologies.
Now, onto the explanation.
For most of my childhood I lived with my father, who was an abusive jerk. I won't go into a lot of details but he was just a very cruel person, to both people and animals, and he went through 8 wives in the time between my age 1 to age 15. No one could bear to stay with him, but I had to, because I was his flesh and blood and he wouldnt let me go. He told me he would never let me go, but well -- social services took exception to that towards the end, and so, 2 months before I would have graduated from high school I relocated.
However, I started college at 16 and I was not really free of him, because I needed information from his for Fafsa, and simply because it is hard to be free of someone who has caused you emotional torment for so long. Throughout my time at college he harrassed me, causing problems both with school administration stuff (like purposely telling the school that information I had given them was incorrect when it wasn't, etc.) and my job. At one point he came and stole my car while I was visiting my grandparents. PLus a whole bunch of other stuff -- bottom news -- he was evil, and no matter how I tried to get rid of him he haunted my footsteps. Even after I changed my name.
Well, I graduated from the undergraduate program and now am considered an independent in truth in terms of financial aid (have to be 25, married, with kid, ward of state, pursuing masters or in the army). I have changed my name and birth certificate and have notified the IRS that the man claiming me as dependent is a liar and that I have not lived with him for years. I have contacted police and lawyers, and I have spent endless nights having nightmares about the possible repurcussions. But nothing has come for quite some time now. It has been almost six months since he has had any contact with me and I am beginning to think I am free of him.
One thing is, my father, for all that he had problems, showered gifts upon me whenever he wasn't being abusive. Half my pony collection is directly attributed to him, but they are from my childhood and I would never give them up. Well, the last pony he ever gave me was G3 Royalette, on his very last attempts to get me to let him back into my life, and I thought it would be a nice and symbolic closure to customize her into something ... free and beautiful.
What I am really going for here is someone who has been there, lived with abuse, and is willing to customize my Royalette into my Freedom pony. Its a thing of emotion and intent, not skill, and anyone who would be willing to do this for me, I would welcome their offer gratefully.
