I was so jealous of everyone who posted their awesome pictures of their MLP Live visits, and while I was away from home on a petrology field trip, my boyfriend called and said that his bandmate's girlfriend saw a commercial for MLP Live. (Now I checked and checked the cities being visited by MLP Live, and I didn't ever see any dates for the Southeastern US. Once when it was already too late I saw a date in Memphis.)
I was so upset that I missed the show in Memhpis, and then it was going to Texas, so I gave up thinking it would ever come back this way again. Wellllll, Amber told my boyfriend she saw a commercial for it and that it was coming to Vicksburg, MS (which is only 45 miles (about an hour) away from here!) AWESOME! I was so excited to hear that.
Well, I talked with Amber about it and we decided to go together. I got us the tickets, and she brought her adorable baby boy, Vesper (who absolutely had a blast, by the way. He danced and jumped and was wide-eyed during the entire show!)
So I was extremely excited to be able to go. I loved the show- it was one of the most exciting and stress-free events of my life! I saw all these little girls having the times of their lives too. They all had either a plush or a light-up wand and were waving them around during the show. (It reminded me of LSDed-out folk at their favorite concert with their lighters! )
Anyway, like I said, the show was awesome, and the songs were great. It was just like being in one of the movies. So I wanted to share some of the highlights and the funnier parts worth mentioning from the show in Vicksburg.
Here are some photos (and I mean a LOT of photos):
Flier (which I wanted to take, but didn't because there was a show the next day. Oh, also there were tons of security guards around! )
Cast. I was wondering if it was the same touring cast. I'll have to check back on the show pictures posted from the Northeast to see.
Gloriously drool factory that is the vending booth.
I picked up several tea sets for members here and also a bunch of loot for myself which I'll show a picture of at the end. Needless to say I spent tooooo much money going to this. I don't have that much buyers remorse, however, as it's a once in a lifetime kind of thing.
Floating ponies! I apparently took the photo right as they were both jumping.
Tropical ladybugs. "Chink chink chinkle and che che chee, hear our voices riiiing!" For some reason the ladybugs thought it would be funny to steal Spike's Book of "How To".
Enormous pony shadows!!! At my venue if the ponies got close to the edge of the stage they cast gigantic shadows on the walls. Hopefully you can judge the scale by the exit doors.
The Ponyville post office. Adorable. I wish the post office I frequented was even slightly like this one!
Minty couldn't find the stamps. Hahah. Everyone was laughing at her because they were stuck on her rump. Of course in the picture you can see the face Pinkie makes whenever she says, "Minty, Minty, Minty!" She did say it, by the way, right at that moment.
Intermission. Girls were dancing with their plushies, balloons, wands, and pennants! It was adorable.
"Disco Dash" A song about trying to find the perfect boa for Rainbow Dash to wear, even though she's already pretty without one!
The light show was amazing!
Spike DJed and did a little hip hop for us!
Unicornia. Rarity said the World's Biggest Tea Party could be held at Unicornia. They took a balloon to the Crystal Rainbow Castle, of course! How else would they travel?
After Spike found his book, he found the poem you have to recite to make magic happen and create the world's biggest teapot. This is when you wave your paper teacup around and around and say, "Pinkies up!"
My and a few other collectors' loot after the show at home in front of my boyfriend's drum kit!
I love the soccer ball and the pennant. But I can't wait to open up one of those plushies. I don't have a pony plushie yet, so I'm really very excited about it! Oh yeah, I forgot to say! Seaflower went with me, but I didn't get a chance to have my picture taken with her. Amber was busy with her baby, and everyone was rushing about trying to buy things for their kids! I don't know if you can see in the picture, but of course my pinkie is up! "Pinkies up!"
Thanks for looking. Hope you enjoyed. I have more pictures if anyone wants to see more just PM me.
