I haven't heard a word from Peppermint Truly since I sent her all the customs info on her package. I wonder what's going on. :?

OK, as not everyone responded to my last email I sent out to my group, can everyone PLEASE post here to let us know if you have/have not received all your items.

Alright, Im home from vacation now and I am going to te post office tomorrow with about 10 pacakages from trades/sales made while I was away... *sigh, vacation has ended*

That package I sent to Italy never made it, either. :(

My two swap partners were from the UK, and I'm in California. I haven't had contact with one of them so I don't know, but the other (Syrus the Clown) IM'ed me late last night with "OMG THANK YOU!!!!" .. so she got hers, lol.

I still have yet to see *either* of my swap presents. Anyone up to going and attacking the US customs office?

yeah me too! although the nearest customs thing to me is ONLY open in the summer and only has TWO employees
 
Okay, so I have a new problem:
Now I need proof of the value of the pony I sent to UG in order to claim her. I asked the woman what was acceptable and she was singularily unhelpful - she told me to cut out a picture and price in a magazine of what I sent. IT WASN'T IN A MAGAZINE. grr.
Does anyone here know what the PO would consider and what they wouldn't? I know several pricing guides online, or completed Ebay sales, or what?
I would normally just grab my reciept of payment, but as this lovely was from my collection I can't do that.
Any ideas?
 
Oh, gosh, I have no idea! Unfortunately, I didn't put insurance or anything on my package to UG, so I don't know if they'll do anything for me. :(
 
I would find a couple auctions for her, hopefully her alone, and print them out. Print out pricing guides as well. I don't know what they take. *shrugs* I really hope Peppermint Truly got her gifts, as I haven't heard from her in awhile. If she never gets it, then I am out at least $55. :evil:
 
Darklys, can you call the postmaster? You know, the head honcho at the main postal branch in your area. Hopefully they can tell you what would be acceptable and what wouldn't be. I don't expect the clerks to always know that stuff, although they should.

And I got all mine, just for the record! I 'think' everyone got mine, too. I know PT did, since I did hear from her a while back. Hopefully things will eventually show up. :cry: Hopefully! This is just sad that it takes this long. I know the postal service takes a beating at the holidays, but this is ridiculous!
