G4 MLP Series 3 tips?

Has anyone here tried scaling or "bending" packs of the "MLP Series 3: Episodes" Trading Card Game? Is there a way to visually or physically tell which pack has the better cards? Like I know with the blind bags, each bag has a number or code on it that tells you which pony is in which bag. Is it that way, or a similar way, with the packs? Or maybe if you gently bend the packs in your fingers the ones with the autographs or lenticulars will be stiffer than normal packs?

My apologies if this is considered cheating. I really don't want to pay good money for packs and get cards I already have.
 
I don't buy blind bags because I'm not into g4 except a few select ponies but I remember reading something where you can tell what's in the bag by the bar code or something?
I dunno if they fix that, like I said I don't really do blind bags I only have like 5 of the figures.
The only other thing I can think of is weight? Like they weigh packs of pokemon cards and somehow they can tell what's in them from that. I'd imagine some figures would weight more than others. But are you really gonna go in Walmart with a tiny scale and sit in the aisle weighing bags all day? lol
 
I have never heard of codes for the trading cards. Its a lot harder to set a code for what is in a random pack of more than one item compared to the one pony in a Blind Bag. I think you can buy these card by card if there are certain cards you would rather have. Ebay probably has tons of auctions for just single cards.
 
Maybe. But I don't have PayPal, so ebay is pretty much out of the question for now. Maybe someone will discover any secrets.
 
oh okay well you could always get them at conventions if you go. They sell them card by card at conventions.
 
I've have bought so many but I don't think there's a way to tell what's in it. You just gotta be lucky. What I don't have in my collection I'll buy or trade.
