Hi everyone! Hope you’re all having a wonderful Sunday.

I hope I am doing this right, as I am new, so apologies if I missed anything but I am searching for a Takara pony.

If you’re not familiar with the Takara ponies, they were the japanese equivalent of the american my little ponies and were produced in the 1980s. Unfortunately, they had a very limited production and are kind of hard to find, not to mention pricey . I’ve been scavenging through ebay but the posts look a little sketchy and so I’m skeptical to buy there but if anyone in the forum has any clues, ideas or even a pony they’re ready to part ways with, I’m very interested in talking!

Ive attached a photo, just in case!
Thanks again!

Update: I have found a beautiful Pinky and Milky! :) Theyre possibly the cutest ponies in the world. I am now also in search of Kuru Kuru or Ami Ami and/or cute clothes/accessories for them if anyone has any ideas. Thank you so much!

Aw I hope you find them. I've thought the same thing before becaue the fakies are so common, how do you tell the difference? I grt your concern especially since they're so pricey. If you really love them you should check out etsy too I saw the cutest knit takara replica figure it was too cute!

Thank you! Theyre so cute haha, hope I can find one! The fakies are actually mostly the babies, some adults might’ve been made via Palau Toys but very hard to find as well.

I have 5 fakies they’re adorable but you can definitely tell they’re fake because of the color, missing logo mark under and the hair plugs.

Good to know incase I come across one in a lot! I hope you do too. I love the weird proportions on them the big heads are so cute. I didn't know there was a difference between adult/ baby takara.cool to learn that :)

There are a couple new inbox on EBay right now. Predictably expensive.

Yeah saw those but so expensive to import at that price also hoping to find a Milky which I’ve heard are a little easier to come by out of box.

I'll keep an eye out, but I don't see them often.

Thank you!! I was super lucky, I have to say. They are so hard to find, especially Kuru Kuru and Ami Ami, which had to be my two favorites haha so sad.
