The pictures will be added soon... I'm paraphrasing a lot from my ecstatic journal entry :)

This weekend I hit up a Fleamarket in my hometown.. here are a bit of my finds... On Saturday:

The first row of booths were mostly memories for my mom n' I. After all, a lot of things now considered 'antiques' are things we grew up and experienced. We then found 'Debbie' the girl with the ponies. And by darn. She did have ponies! However as I suspected, most were horribly over priced... IE: $7 for a manky looking Moondancer. :/ But I did find 3 ponies in her basket. Princess Sparkle, Starflower, and a MLP Fake all for $10. There is a reason I got the fake, don't worry. I'll explain conditions of the ponies below.

So far our day has been going wonderful. My mom at a booth found I think late 1800's, early 1900's "steamer trunk" that she was thinkign about. Completely mint. Original lock -and key- with original paper shelf linings n' finish. Gorgeous chest. I had looked at a corner glass cabinate (display case) and figured it was too expensive resting at $400. Something to get in the future but not now. My mom n' I then decided to walk on. Found a girl who trades/buys MLPs and we exchanged information. (She was a dealer in the room) and she was babbling how she loves ponies n' has a lot of mail orders and she'll see if she can't get me Rapuzel in exchange maybe for a MOC pony. :>

I had seen a MLP Puzzle... like one I use to have my grandma cleaned her house n' threw away a -lot- of my MLP items thinking I didn't want them :/ Sorta disappointing. I wasn't about to pay $10 for it... and I wasn't about to pay $12 for his fakes and his one real MLP (one I had bought earlier: Princess Sparkle) who had a bad haircut. Forget that. Dejected only slightly, I was mostly smiles, after all, I already scored some -awesome- things! Well we hit the back rows of the antique section and I choked. I couldn't believe what was sitting in a box in front of me. A guy had Ponies.. a mix of fakes and originals.. I just couldn't believe it. Nightglider was sitting there on top. I snagged her up uber fast as she's not only hard to find, but uber pretty. Granted she was hideously dirty and really couldn't tell how she'd clean up, I had also scored Trickles despite her bad forelock trim and tail-cut and bad symbols. I've always wanted her and now I had her. I didn't care about condition. Got each of the ponies for $2.50 each. :)

To be honest, I'm not sure how I saw this... Walking by there was a glint of blue and it drew my attention over to this table filled with junk and to the plastic bag filled with cheap toys. And well I'll be darned! It was a My Little Pony Puzzle Game! Like one of those children's game-toys you'd get in 'grab bags'... It had Sprinkles in it. Holy Cow. Part of me was worrying. With it being in with a bunch of other 'little toys' the guy would probably make me pay out the rear

for it. However, I inquired and he said I had the most lovely smile and friendliest face he's seen all day. He said if I'd like that puzzle, I could have it! I mean really. That just made me grin more. Not only did I get a really kind compliment, I got a MLP Puzzle Game for FREE! :D OMG. That just tickled me to friggin' death. Thanking him after a small chat with him n' my mom, we moved on.

On Monday:

With my weekend at an end, I hit the road back to the dorms. On my way, I had stopped off at an exit to go hit up a Target to grab a CD. I had found the Target and was on my way back off to the road (cough. after getting horribly lost/turned around) and saw a Flea Market open... one of those 'store' type deals.. go in n' there's a lot of booths. Open all the time.

Well I didn't have many hopes, as I thought I blew all my luck on finding a Nightglide for $2.50 ... However my luck changed drastically. Walking down the isles, it took me only 2 isles to find 3 bagged MLPs hanging individually on the wall. Blinking, I double checked. The woman obviously knew what she had as she tagged them all for $6. There was a Sherbert, Princess Misty, and Creamsicle. I had called Jasanni to get her opinion on Creamsicle. Wasn't positive I wanted to pay $6 for Creamsicle since the oddities of MLP are not my true thing.

Jasanni told me she'd pay that... though it's a $1.40 or so what she'd expect for it. Never the less, she mentioned how she didn't have one. I picked the Creamsicle up for her, and picked up the flawless Princess Misty up for me. :) That made my day. That'd make 2 Princess ponies I've found this weekend!

My luck wasn't finished with me yet. Walking down the fifth isle, I had just by chance, looked at a piled up-junky booth. Sitting there smiling on the shelf was another pristine MLP! Princess Tiffany! Yes. Another Princess pony! This marked my 3rd this weekend. Needless to say I was very pleased, as she was only $1.50 to boot. :)

Seriously. These finds made my day and I had chalked it up to this being the end of my great pony-hunt. I had circled up the last few isles, and stopped to look at some stacked boxes of barbies n' toys -- The toys beneath the barbie shelves were mostly odds n' ends. I picked up a few, musing over the old toys and fake ponies. However, I saw a grabbage with a "Tiny Tiny Newborn" in it! I was estatic. However, it was so pretty, and since it proved to be a genuine MLP, I kept digging. I found a SECOND one, same color, in another mixed/sealed bag of random toys (both were $1 ) ... It took me a moment to realize by chance, I found the first one's TWIN! So I snagged the pair of twins (plus some Mc.D ponies) for $2.. The pair of "Tiny Newborn Twins" were Bootsie and Tootsie.

So yea. This weekend has been very fruitful! :D

Condition of Ponies
1) Nightglider - Very Good. Near perfect symbols. Perfect eyes. Good hair (dry at tail tip, and seems a little thin in a spot in the mane.) Has a small dabble of pink highlighter on her leg. Age spot on her belly n' chin.

2) Trickles - Poor/Bait. Tail cut.Body has a -few- minor marks. Extensive rubbing on symbols. Forelock cut. (I still love her cause I never had this pony before :) Still happy)

3) Starflower - Fair. Perfect silky hair. Perfect symbols. Good eyes (minor rub on one.) Body markings.. can't figure how to clean her :/ Looks like a few dots of purple marker. Blah. Sad cause I really love this pony too :/ LOVE the rainbow series. Hints? Please?

4) Princess Sparkle - Very Good. Perfect silky hair. No body markings. No symbol flaws. Perfect eyes. Body and head different colors (slightly).. Happens with age n' plastic :p But still dang sweet pony :D And beter yet since Fenris is sending me a shirt with her on it. Huzzah!!

5) Fake Pony - Good. Perefect Eyes. ... Hair is what you'd expect from one of these. Small rub on her neck/markings. Why I got her was because apparently they made (other companies) ponies from the SAME molds as the Hasbro ones. This of course didn't happen often and these ponies rarely show up on second market. She's in Firefly's mold.

6) Princess Misty - MINT. No rubs (still has iridescence on her symbol) Silky hair. Flawless

7) Creamsicle - Very Good to Near Mint. Haven't cleaned her but this is just by visual inspection.

8 ) Teeny Tiny Newborn Twins Bootsie and Tootsie - MINT. Nothin' wrong with'em. :)

Yay Labor Day!

Anyway. Big day. I'm happy... I'm just .wow :3 I love my Trickles even if she's butchered ^_^;;

Wow. It is impossible to find Ponies in my part of the country! I have given up and went back to ebay. I also went flea marketing this weekend. I hit about 20 of them and found no ponies. I've only found three in two years of garage saling. I did find some Non MLP stuff. Found a Strawberry shortcake alarm clock and carrying case, and a tin Care Bears lunchbox, but sadly no ponies. I'll just stick to buying them off ebay I guess.

Blah. I can't turn around without finding Strawberry Shortcake (MIB from the 80s, no less) or Carebear stuff :p

But in honesty, in the years of garage sailing, NEVER found a pony yet. My luck comes from those fleamarkets n' connections established.

But good luck to ya hon :>

HEy Frisket! Looks like we both got great hauls! I can't wait to see the piccies! :D I was lucky to find Quarterback, he'll replace the one I have which is absolutely covered in the dreaded smooze/pony cancer/pin-dot-mold/you-name-it-funk! He's a total bait! This new one, underneath all the dirt is perfect with only one small highlighter dot! However, I bet that he's totally rusted inside. :?

*dashes off to wash her new Quarterback*

Those are amazing finds. I'm totally frickin' jealous! 0_o

As for the marks... If nothing else works on them, try sunlight. Leave them on a sunny windowsill for a time, and if you're worried about fading, cover the rest of the pony in tinfoil or something. I've used sunshine on more than a dozen ponies, on everything from highlighter to DEEP ball point pen. It's gotten everything out. (Although, with Tickle, who was SCRIBBLED on with blue pen, it took almost 2 weeks, but now it's GONE!) I've never had any fatalities, either. ^_^

Good luck. (NOT THAT YOU NEED ANY!) *LMAO*

nice, can i see a picture of the fakie?

when you can of course

It's almost impossible for me to find MLP's as well.. You had great finds! *rubs you for luck* haha

Wow, you had some great luck. I've found a couple ponies at yard sales but they are few and far between.

Cool finds! And the twins were still kind of together :D

That 'fakie' sounds weird. I didn't know they made fakies in that pose! I wanna see :D

wow, send some pony luck my way lol

Wow! You had an awesome labor day! Congrats on your new ponies! :D

If anyone lives in florida..there is a flea market in clearwater/st.pete that is called the wagon wheel..in the 90's there was a young couple who dealt in toys and I could pick up a bag full for under $5..I believe they are still there and the place is huge now...check it out ..might be worth a chance..

Good GRIEF! I haven't had that sort of luck since I FIRST started flea marketing (uh... like 8 or 9 YEARS ago, lol)! That's awesome! :D
