I'm on a mission!! have to find a few baits for upcoming birthday projects (and on average, I'm running about 6 months behind.)
I need the Gusty to be white, or at least be able to get that way with some work. Hair will be redone, and cutie mark removed so no issues there.

I also need Brother ponies in any kind of shape, so long as he's got no chews or chunks missing.

I have addresses in both Canada and the USA for ease of communication. Please DM to let me know if you have one (or both) and your cost. Thanks everyone!

Aw please don't destroy a good ponies for customs... If everyone had that mindset then there would be none left. It isn't like these ponies are being made anymore. These are vintage items from 30 plus years ago. Ruining something that would be loved and cherished by a collector is absolutely heartbreaking when there are thousands, if not millions, of bait ponies that actually need to be customized to be cherished...

OP is looking for bait ponies, not collectable condition ponies. She’s been customizing for quite some time and is fantastic at reusing old pony hair/tails and getting donors for a lot of her custom works.

It isn’t destroying or ruining them to customize a toy just so you know (even if they are still in good shape as is)it’s just changing them to something new.

However, with the harder to find ones, it would be sad to customize one in acceptable condition. I think HQG1C has provided a great way to make customs guilt free, and the basic fun ponies don’t seem to be as good quality as the originals, so they, too, are great for customs. It all depends on the condition and rarity of a pony for me, personally.

Agreed. That's why I'm asking for baits but honestly, that means different things to different people. Most pony collectors have at least a few not-so-great ones lying around. I try to be precise about my conditions to buy so we're all on the same page

@Skybreeze was the first on this forum to donate tails and manes to my particular kind of projecting...appreciate it so much.

In ruining what I mean is you are ruining what is actually there. If every person decided to deflock their perfectly flocked so soft ponies then they would just be all gone. and with some ponies being more rare than others it's really sad to take away something that would be highly cherished by someone that they can never get again for something that could be created on a million other ponies. if you customize a pony you are definitely ruining what is originally there because for example if you use a perfectly fine wigwam, even if the person scrubbed away everything that was done to it, the original design would most likely be compromised and therefore the original pony is ruined. be it that they can't get everything off or that the original paint is gone such as the cutie marks or the eyes, etc.

I don't think anyone here said anything about customizing any non-bait ponies @iammisshennessy and Maple actually said right out she was looking just for baits and in the next comment, "And are you confident they can be used for customs and you won't be sad about it??? I hate to ruin good toys" so I don't see why we're getting off the topic of this thread. I think most everyone here agrees if a pony is in even fair to good condition someone would want it, most of the people here customize ponies that are very much so, in bait condition.

Speaking of, I might have some tails you may be able to use up again if your interested. Doing a lot of custom work myself lately. :)

I invite you to share your opinion in the discussion forum instead of hijacking this thread. If I buy a Pony with my own dollars, it's my right to do whatever I want with it. You may not agree with it but then, you are free to buy whatever you want, as well.

Thank you...that's exactly the point!

Would a wig wam with a small crack in his hoof work you can’t really see it.
