Okay, I've joined in a TP swap and I'm looking for items to make the custom. I'm not sure what I'd like to do with it yet. I'm tempted to use all fabric, use some fabric and then sculpt some of it, OR just sculpt all of it. If I can find the fabric that suits my taste, then I'll just hand sew..which isn't all that difficult since I've hand sewn my dolls clothes for my Santa and Mrs. Clause.

So, here's what I need help finding.. rainbow paisley fabric..wow. Yeah..not as easy as I thought. Here's the basic look of it:

Sorry it's so tiny.

I don't care if it's just a Quarter Panel size piece of fabric, or scraps, I don't need much at all!

If I were looking for something like this, I'd hit eBay, a fabric outlet if you have one in your area (there's one in Phoenix, for example, that sells fabric by the pound, mostly odd lots, ends, and dead stock), and thrift stores, in that order. If I had to go thrifting for it, I'd be looking through the clothing, most likely woman's tops, for mid to late 80's items.

eBay has quite a few paisley prints in the fabric section, however.

Last resort might be a heat transfer print of the desired paisley print onto an appropriately colored solid piece of fabric.

I believe I have some gold lame brocade paisley fabric, in the form of a formal 80's jacket with too much wear and damage to sell (I sell vintage clothing) but that doesn't sound like what you're looking for. It's very loud gold.

ETA -- Kar Red Roses beat me to it, LOL.
