No show unfortunatly, some day I'll get a camera, someday....
Anywho last Monday since I had the day off and nothing else to do I decided to do some serious thrift store hunting. I knew there was a Goodwill an hour from me and when searching Google Maps I located four other thrift stores on the way and in the same town. So with my list in hand I set off.
The first stop was about 45 mins from home, a placed called Bakers and yielded nothing, but I wasn't worried. I had four more stops. The next stop was a little place called Treasure Chest. The first thing I spied was Breyer yellow, a box. In it was #921 Native Diver Champion Thoroughbred. Not really a deal at $21 but I couldn't pass it up. Also there I found a new Easter Toora-Loo-ra (with the gradient on the leg) for 99 cents, now that was a deal, she hardly seemed played with even, clean, hair was a tad mussy but nothing a brush couldn't fix, loverly. That was all though for Treasure Chest.
Next on the list was Goodwill, now I have never found any MLP there in the past and this trip was no exception. I did buy a book though by an author I like so not a complete loss.
The next location was a Bakers as well, different branch. Here is were I "hit the jackpot" so to speak. While poking through the endless baggies of MCD toys and such (you know what I'm talking about) I spotted a purple sparkly head sticking out of the back of a rack of baggies. Finishing the rack I was on, I moved in, there was ...... Twinkler, beloved Sparkle pony Twinkler. I was very excited because she was on my want list and now I can cross her off!!! She is in good condition, a small eye smudge and the hair is kinda greasy but I can fix that. I aslo found there three Ponyville McD girls (custom fodder). One thing I found was very surprising to me one of those things you aren't looking for but are glad you find. I kept going back to this baggie that held a turquiose Barbie saddle, wondering if I wanted it. Upon closer inspection though I found a Charmkin, Brown Eye'd Susan to be exact, in great condition with the clip that attaches her to the choker she came on. So for just that I bought the baggie.
Last stop was Savers, after I poked into the dollar store to see if maybe they had some fakies, no luck. At Savers, again, I first found a Breyer, this one was not in box nor is great shape but was $14 and again I couldn't pass her up. I've figured out her to be #3180 Medicine Hat Mare. I also found a Rainbow Dash keychain who's hair is cut almost to the neck, but with only a 1/4 inch of hair she looks punky and I love it.
So in summary for those who don't wanna read my jibberish
-#921 Native Diver Breyer in box
-Easter Toora-loo-ra
-Good condition Twinkler (purplness!)
-three McD ponyville soon to be customs
- Brown Eye Susan Charmkin with clip
-#3180 Medicine Hat Mare Breyer
