I Got It!

Okay, some of you may know that my fiance and I have had... issues over ponies. BUT. He let me get one of my grails for our anniversary!

PARADISE ESTATE. Nearly complete. Missing one door, one fork, and one knife.

This is one of my grails because of all the good childhood memories that come from it. My babysitter had one that she bought at a yardsale just because she knew I would like it. I played with that thing for hours upon hours. I moved from that town when I was five, and we heard from her again about eleven or twelve years after that. She had sold it because after I was gone, none of her other kids liked it. She said that if she had thought of it, she would have sent it to me, and she regretted not thinking of it... and I've been looking for one ever since.

I just ordered it today, so I can only link you to the auction for pictures. But I am so, SO thrilled.

I'm so happy for you! I remember being little, my sister had Paradise Estate and I admit, when I started to collect years down the road I'd look at it, in various labeled bags out in the storage barn with other toys and I'd be soo jealous. Then one day my sister came home and went "oh, by the way Pam, you can have Paradise Estate if you want it, I know I don't"
It was the best feeling in the world. I can only hope that yours brings you as much joy, and I think it will from the child-hood memories you've already told.
Looking at the pictures, it's amazing! We have a few accessories left from it but nothing like that. WOW

I'm so thrilled. The seller sent me a message to say that she had shipped it via UPS ground, and it is expected to arrive TOMORROW! Eeee! I'll take proper pictures of it when it arrives.
