How To Print My Own Calendar

I was shopping for calendars the other day and I just couldn't find one with every feature I wanted and that still looked good; so I thought I'd make my own.
The potential problem is that I can't think of how I'd print it. I don't think regular paper would be very durable and if I laminate it, I couldn't write on it. I have a regular printer (not a photo one) and I don't know how that would work out. Is there a way I can do it on my printer?

We only have a standard printer, not photo, and I print pictures all the time. Make sure the printer is set for the "best" photo. Many times, the software you use that integrated the photos will have such settings. Do you have software to set up the calendar format? For paper, use a heavy "pound" rating or lighter cardstock. Make ure you test various thicknesses in your printer so they turn out good before you get everything set up and realize the printer will not handle the paper. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Fedex/Kinkos does calendars. My mom has had them special made there several times. Just thought I'd throw that out there. ;) Good luck!

Actually if you laminate the paper you can write on it with erasable/white board markers. We use laminated paper at work for things we change often like employee favorites and such (I work at a video rental store) so that might work.

:leaf:Thank you for the replies and ideas! I hadn't thought of using card stock or a heavy paper... I'm sure that will work.
