Hello all! My name is Pinkie. I am 18, and I am so excited to be here!

I love all generations of MLP. G4 was the generation I grew up with, and now I follow G5 and look forward to new releases. There are so many cool things about MLP, including the community, the amazing projects people make, and of course, the toys! I've been collecting for a little less than a year, and I have found that with the success of Friendship is Magic, it can be hard to find fellow collectors in the pony spaces I am a part of. I have seen the MLPTP in a few of my Google searches, and there seems to be a lot of cool stuff going on here. I had to make an account so I can participate!

I ask for a little grace as I adjust to the site. I will set up my profile when I get a chance, but for now, hi! Thank you for having me here!

Hey there!

Welcome in! I hope you enjoy your stay!

Take all the time ya need :) it took me a while too!

Hello! Nice to meet you! Thank you so much for the kind welcome!!
Hello and welcome! Who are your favorite ponies? :)
Hi and thank you!! Oh gosh, where to even begin.. I have so many favorites! G4 Moondancer has always stood out to me because of her interesting design. When I started expanding my MLP horizons and I discovered she was based on the iconic G1 pony of the same name, I was so excited. It's so fun, at least to me, when there are connections across generations! I wish they made a G4 brushable of her, it would be so cool next to the G1 version!
I also love Mommy Bright Bouquet and Euro Confetti- I am lucky enough to have both in my collection, and they are so adorable. That pose is one of my favorites! I could also talk passionately about G5's Izzy and I love Misty, although those are two favorites based more so on the show, rather than solely the toys. I have so many favorites, and I could seriously talk about them all day! :lolpony: Thank you for the question! If you have any favorites you'd like to share as well, I would love to hear about them! :)

That is cool! I'm a persnickety Old so I only really pay attention to G1 and a little of G3, but I do think it's great that the OG ponies are referenced later down the line! The whole Bright Bouquet family is adorable, and Mommy BB and Euro Confetti are both in that Bowtie pose which is one of the best, in my loud opinion. Like you I have tons of favorites. I adore the G1 Summerwing and Windy Wing ponies, their sculpts are so precious. I'm really fond of Tux 'n' Tails and Twice-as-Fancy baby Sugarberry, and little Spike, who were the three that my grandma helped me to order by mail with Horseshoe Points when I was a kid. I took really good care of them (except Spike but that's because he got to participate in all the adventures my toys went on) and kept the three of them to this day. <3 <3 <3

That's wonderful! I love how MLP hosts such a diverse group of fans, all of whom have different experiences with the brand :happyhearts: I so agree about the Bowtie pose. They could make variants of every pony in that pose and I'd never get tired of it! Your favorites are wonderful ponies, and I love the personal memories and connections you have with them. That's what makes toy collecting so fun and special, I think :redheart:

Welcome! Always great to see more g4 collectors! I discovered that they rebooted the toy line around the time of the movie and the toys past that look great! I'm also a fan of the 4.5/pony life styled toys, though I have few g4 and 4.5 in my collection. How do you feel about the direction Hasbro took the g5 toys?

Hello! I don't have any of the reboot G4 toys, but I do have a few Pony Life toys. I must say I am surprised (but glad) you're a G4.5 fan- I don't often see people talking about them in a favorable way. As for the G5 toys, I am overall pretty happy with them. I think it's easy for people, and me as well, to be overly critical of them. But when I take a step back, there are a lot of things I like about them. For example, I love how with the smaller toys, the different heights of the characters are reflected in their respective toys. I also love how much hair the fashion styles have! I hope they release more brushables with articulation in the future, and more brushables of different characters. I understand that G5 isn't for everyone, though!

G4.5 is a really great departure from the g4 lines. I was never a huge g4 toy fan. That's insightful! g5 going back to a more 3.5-esque style (the way the head has a distinct jawline particularly instead of a more horse-like physique) is very interesting to me. I do hope we get articulated toys like this, those are sooo cool!

Yes, I totally agree! G3 and G5 are both also a bit more 'realistic' in a sense, with G5 having phones and other similar technology, and G3 having playsets with cash registers, compared to G4's lack of smart technology. That kind of vibe from G3 is something I really enjoy, so I love to see it in G5 as well. The connection about the jawline is something I didn't observe myself, but you're so right. I also agree with wanting some articulated ponies in that style. I think it would suit G5 very well! I would love all the posing possibilities that come with that many points of articulation. I think it would also fit into their Hoof to Heart line well, with all the cute accessories that comes with those sets.

Welcome to the herd :) I'm partial to G1 myself but I'm dipping my hoof in the G3 waters but no matter what gen you're into we all happy to talk about pony here!
