Hi there,

Hey - just wanted to give you all a warm greeting to this brand new day! And not just any day either. It's International Pony Day! ;)

My friend Marise is going to come over today and we're going to do lots of pony themed things. Such as - we might be making little cupcakes and icing them with rainbows and/or ponies or something. :D

Then tonight we'll be going to the Avril Lavigne concert (Eeee don't hurt me I got free tickets! :roll: ). What a great way to spend IPD! Lol. :lol:

Is anyone else going to celebrate today or is it just me?

I've been celebrating in my own way, moving ponys around my room all day. Can i come to the concert with you? PLEASE! take pictures :p

Well, unfortunately we're not allowed to take pictures. But who ever said we're not allowed to break the rules? *hides camera in pocket and glances around quickly*

I totally forgot about it, lol. BUT I did get my package from Finland today! Hurrah! Got a Dutch G3 McD's Pony, a Dutch G3 book (like a magazine/comic book - awesome pics, although I can't read it, lol), a G1 sticker book w/ all it's stickers (too cool!), and 2 G2 Ponies! :D I's a happy Pony! And maybe I'll do some more work on the Pony area of the basement. :D

I should have Suprise and Cherries Jubilee in my mailbox right now. I'm going to rearrange my ponies then make my husband take me out to eat. The Celebration begins!
 
I didn't know there was an IPD. How awesome is that :) I think I'm going to go rearrange my ponies today on their shelves. *throws tensil in the air*
 
Happy IPD! Sadly...I didn't know about it till today when I say the post :oops: while my boyfriend is away at volleyball tonight I'll take out my collection and treat them to a nice brushing :) Thanks for the reminder!
 
I was going to meet a pony collecting friend in town, and we were going to put a bunch of ponies up and have MLP-signs and stuff. The plan was to meet people who would say "Ooh I have a bunch of those in the attic, do you want them" heehee... But I slept til 5 in the evening so out plans were destroyed!

But! My sister and I went for a ride in town in the evening, with the car covered in G3 ponies! Lol everyone stared like crazy, it was so much fun! I'll have to do it again sometime :D
 
I'm a dip, I didn't know there was an IPD either. Is it every year on this date, or is it the first Tuesday of August? What's the history? Is there a site or something that I missed?

(*good Lord, how did I not know that? I've had ponies for TWENTY THREE YEARS!!!!!!*)

Well, Monday I bought myself Hidden Treasure and Blossomforth. So that's how I celebrated...I guess! :D

I missed it but I did rethread a pony anyway so that will be my IPD pony I think.
