Guarded Heart - "Twisted Childhood Toy" Pony!

For my sculpture class, we had a "Twisted Childhood Toy" assignment. Take any toy and make it creepy, morbid, unsettling, dark, gothic, disturbing, etc! Of course I had to twist a pony!

"Guarded Heart is a jaded, bitter pony. Once upon a time he wore his heart on his sleeve-- er, hoof, until it was torn apart. Now Guarded Heart knows better, and keeps his heart away from anyone who might hurt him again."

Guarded Heart sports a rusted screw for his horn, a barbed wire tail, and a mane of sharp nails. He's stitched, corsetted and sewn with wire, and his symbol is a sparkling rhinestone heart protected by a wire cage.

I love the contrast between the nails in the head, the barbed wire tail, and the elegant little heart on the right hoof. Awesome!!!! All tied together really well.
