When Colorscapesart posted her first "flamed" pony I knew I had to have one! I contacted her and she made me a gorgeous Flamed Posey.
When I asked what she wanted in exchange she said "I'm thinking either a gradient version swirly Toola Roola or maybe something in golden yellows (best color ever!) Just random thoughts." I immediately decided to make her a "Golden Toola!" I asked her if I could surprise her and gave her no hint of what I was making.
According to the USPS tracking the package has arrived!

Golden Toola was originally a G3 Star Swirl - notice anything different about the pose?
I recently purchased a set of Lumiere metallic and pearlescent paints and thought this would be the perfect project to try them out. She was airbrushed with a soft, creamy yellow base and then given gradients of Sunset Gold and Metallic Russet. She was also given a light dusting of Halo Pink-Gold over her back-side and nose.
Her eyes and symbols were hand painted using the same paints as her gradients. I decided to use a dark brown rather than black on the eyes to give a softer look. Her symbols are not a perfect match to any of the Hasbro versions of Toola but are loosely based on the swirly version.
She's been rehaired with Dollyhair nylon in Buttercreme and Sunlight with random streaks of Golden Goddess and Pumpkin Pie.
