I’m working on my first g1 custom but I’m having trouble with glueing the hair inside of the head. I’ve used a waterproof craft glue that has worked for monster high heads but for some reason it will not dry inside the pony head. It’s been 3 days and it’s still not dry so I’m not really sure what the issue is? I wiped the inside clean and used quick dry tacky glue as well. I dyed the head but I don’t think that would cause it? What glue does everyone recommend?

It's been hours after u put a different kind of glue in and it still won't dry.

How weird! I have only rehaired a pony once and don't recall having an issue with glue drying but that was so long ago I couldn't even tell ya what I used.

For vinyl and flexible plastics I use Beacon 3 in 1 craft glue, it works pretty well for me

Do you know what stores carry it? I can't seem to find it online in my country.
Yup I buy it at joann fabrics, but it looks like they sell it at hobby lobby and on Amazon too

Ok thanks! I will have to look into that. It's not on Canadian Amazon and we don't have hobby lobby here lol.

Fabri-tac (or similar fabric glues) should work for rehairs, really weird that it didn’t dry! :0
Is there moisture where you live? That can be a factor. Some glues and paints are very specific about the weather conditions unfortunately x(

I live in a very wet climate but I've neve had issues with either of these glues before and I've been rerooting monster high dolls for years with it

I use Fabri-tac, like others. But now that I think of it, I don't know how fast it dries. I'm slow, and usually don't get around to trimming or styling for a week or more. Some I put the head on and haven't done anything.

I suggest just putting the head aside somewhere with good circulation and checking Sunday. It's a small head, maybe the amount of glue + size is slowing it down.
