For a long time now, I have wondered about Princess Cadance and Shining Armor’s daughter, Flurry Heart. Some say that she was the ancestor to the toyline exclusive pony, Princess Skyla, and there are multiple fantheories and fanfics and fanart of Flurry and Skyla are sisters. However, what no one really mentions is whether Flurry is a fraud. And what I mean by that, is….what if Flurry Heart is a pony that, true to a Changeling’s nature, masquerades as some pony as who she really isn’t not? Or rather, a pony who stole the destiny as another?
The other pony, in question, being the g4 toyline exclusive pony, Star Dreams. She first appears in the Sweet Slumbers set with Applejack in 2011, makes her second appearance in the Cutie Mark Crusaders n’ Friends set in 2013, and again in the Rainbow Power set in 2014, with Rainbow Dash and Rarity. Now, find it rather odd that this little filly that very few in the fan base know of has been packaged purposefully with half of the mane 6, and the CMC throughout the short course of her existence, as opposed to some background and toy exclusive ponies who have been packaged on their own at times.
While an entire season of the animated series transitions from the point where the rainbow power arc ends to when the episode “The Crystalling” begins- i.e, the birth of Flurry Heart, I am still left wonder if Flurry’s original identity was meant to be that if Star Dreams. Not only do they share the same color scheme, tri-colored hair (although Flurry’s is more gradient with the exact same colors) and eye color, but the Alicorn fate seems to have been one that was possibly set up for Dreams, given her toyline releases and how they coincide with the episodic lineups, of the animated series- which, if if she had been included in the animated canon, I feel would’ve been her destiny, rather than Flurry Heart’s.
But what do you guys think?
