Misty's picture can be found further down in the thread.

My restoredoll hair arrived yesterday, and OMG, I was so pleased!

Stormy was made from Goody Gumdrop. She was painted with dark brown acrylic paint & sealed with a shiny finish. Her eyes are a deep chocolate brown. She was rehaired using restoredoll platinum white blended with opal essence. I decided to keep the "foal" look by cropping her mane short & keeping her tail short as well. For some reason the picture shows variances in the paint that I didn't see while working on her, but this is my first painted custom. I plan on redoing her eventually. Pics of Stormy & Misty together will be posted when I finish rehairing Misty.

Here's Stormy & her Breyer namesake....

Very nice job copying that coat pattern. Sheesh, you dun' pick anything easy for your first paint project, do you? Looking forward to seeing the rest!

Aw, Margaurite Henry was my favorite author as a child! It was so sad when she died. You did her memory well with that adorable custom! She would have been so thrilled to know people still love her characters, I'm sure. :)

cute

Aww! Is she one of the ones I am making a halter for? She is so cute!

Wow! I love your Misty! She looks better than the Breyer :) The shiny paint works well for her, I can't wait to see the others as well ^_^ You did an amazing job for your first paint job. Shoulda seen mine! LOL
Bravo Peptac!

So sweet!

I absolutely adore the Henry-themed Breyers. My first Breyer collection goal is to get them all. Misty and Stormy are next on my list! As an adult, I'm rereading the Henry books and they are still every bit as awesome as they were back then. :)
