Got this one for free. A lady was cleaning out her storage unit and decided she didn't want it. It looked like it may have had water damage at one time. We wondered flood. So we had to do a lot to it to get it sanitary, clean, safe and useable for the next family of borrowers that living here. I have several and gnomes too.:D We decided to sanitize it in clorox and then sand it down, at least the parts we could. I already have a refurbished yellow house so we went with a green color that I am a fan of.

The photos go in order of the process of cleaning, sanding and repainting.

First process was to remove molded wallpaper and yucky carpets. We had to do some repair to the siding and glue it back in. Remove the walls and such.

Next we had to do the taping in order to paint and began painting.

After three days of painting and stuff we are finally finished with the house paint and cleaning. The next step will be to close of the back of the dollhouse with cabinet style doors before adding furniture. I will post those photos when we get to that point.

Walls are back in boy that was tough. The door needs repair and I need to clean the windows. I will post when I get it filled and stuff if you guys are interested lol. It smelled so bad and now it smells a lot better. I can't wait to add the furniture. I already have a pile of stuff to use. We were not able to get the spray paint deep in the broken section under the window but it looks a lot better not being able to see the water line. My plan is to get my nephew over here so he can take it upstairs for me. It is extremely heavy. Solid wood no partical board on this baby.

Great job on the renovation so far! You've really fixed it up nicely, can't wait to see how the rest goes!

That will make a great Pony Display! :D are you going to use it to display part of your collection?

Here it is decorated.

@Tak @Ology @Leave a Whisper @ladyaquitaine @kittensquid @PonyFeathers @Mimic and all pony buds. I still need to add pictures on walls and rugs. For now I am too exhausted to think about it. Oh and I need to make a Christmas tree skirt too. Then it needs lighting which I can get in the form of white Christmas battery powered lights.

Wow. What a great deal! Especially for a Barbie sized house. You did a great job restoring it!

oh I love it

Wow!! That was fast work. It looks amazing! You must be really pleased with it.

There are so many details. I see something new every time I look. I really like the hat box on the bed and the toy box in the bedroom. It tells a story.

Hee hee heee, love the sheep.

Yea we decided to make a plastic cover for it rather than make doors. We have this thick sheet of plastic velcroed on the back to keep the cats and dog out of it. It is nice that you can see through it and, I think it will cut down on dust for sure. We have been working on it since Summer, but I wanted to wait to tell you guys about it when it was almost done. Thanks for looking. I am having a lot of fun with it.

It really isn't a house for Barbie. The dolls I am using are under 8 inches tall. Basically, they are Rockflowers dolls and Kiddles lol.
