Does Unpainted clay need sealer??

I am just wondering if un-painted clay over bake or air dry needs to have sealer put over it?? just trying to finish up a swap custom!

All I've used is apoxie sculpt, and it doesn't need sealer as it's rock hard. But, if you want to make it shiny, add some kinda glossy sealer, that's what I do ^_^
