How much hair is need to hair or rehair a costum? Is there a rule of thumb or anything like that?

Any pony have some tips for painting symbols and body painting?

Gonna try my hand at customizing, never done it before, but i been drawing like crazy, improving my drawing and ideas are crowing around in my head lol.

Well, I just recently started customizing myself, but this is what I've learned so far:

I use hair from Restoredoll.com, it's very reasonable (IMO) and lovely. You get a bunch of it too! One order has rehaired a BBE Head and a regular G1 Adult head too. I think I'll even get a tail for the baby out of it.

To do the rehairing you can use many tools: a needle, wire, rerooting tool (I use one of these from LadyDayDreamer and it works wonderfully!), etc.

As far as painting symbols, I've only used acrylics thus far. I think other people use Testors(sp) paint or model paint, but acrylic has worked for me thus far.
