I am so frusterated, lol - when I did ceramic Twist, I got nice clean pics taken. I can't do that anymore! Argh!

Anyway, here's my third custom ceramic Pony - Mimic! She's quite a bit larger than the others (and she's not a very well-made ceramic - someone put her together kinda crooked-like, and her mouth, horn, and legs, don't meet properly, so it looks funny when you pay attention to it, lol). I painted her w/ Delta Ceramcoat paint for ceramics - that stuff's awesome when done, but, gosh, it takes forever! You have to put a teeny dab on w/ one paintbrush, then rub it in w/ another. You have to do the entire thing this way, and that paint goes on thin, so it takes MANY coats! Luckily, Mimic is light, and I like the way she turned out w/ one coat, so I left it. :) The hair, otoh, is a different story, lol.

Mimic is darker than her Pony counterpart - I left it that way, though, because I liked it. :) My hubby kept saying, 'I still think it should be lighter', lol. Her mane and tail are the four colors of her counterpart - closer to the actual shade than the body is. ^-^ Her symbols - one's a tad bigger than the other, but I like the smaller one better, lol. If I can ever get some better pics again, than I will get close-ups of the symbols and eyes. Speaking of her eyes, I painted them w/ a shimmery green acrylic paint, and added a 'twinkle' to them w/ white paint. I even added some 'blush'. ^-^

Anyway, here she is:

Thanks for looking!

Is that one of those ceramic sculpters you can buy in stores then paint your self? What a great idea! Same some of us less talented peoples the touble of trying to sculpt(ahhh). Anywho this is really neat! The coloring is great, though it sounds time consuming!

Thanks! No, unless they also make that mold for it. I actually purchased her a Goodwill, I think. Well, second-hand, anyway. She was white and had her mane painted a yellow-orange, and the water painted blue. I coated everything several times w/ a base-coat and started afresh. :)

And, yes, it was time-consuming! Lol.

Mimic

Thats very cool..she looks very classy...a fresh change from the (well loved) chubby ponies. Thanks for sharing!!

Lol - I'm glad you like her! ^-^

I'm looking to sell her, too, if anyone's interested. If I don't get a decent offer (which isn't a lot, lol), than she will go to eBay. Once I get some better pics, and some w/ the real Mimic, than I will post her on the WTS forum. :)

Thanks, everyone! :D I still haven't tried to get better pics, lol. Peppermint Truly - I'm not sure. I thought I'd take offers, starting at around $20, but I'm afraid I wouldn't get any.
