On a lot of the ponies I look at online, quite a few of them have really tight recurled tails. I really think this is cute, but can't get get it quite right. I've tried making tiny curlers with straw and bobby pins, and using styrofoam rollers you can make really tight, but the curls just don't seem to take. Any good advice?

Do it wet, and let it dry with the curlers in, or boil them with the curlers in is even better. put your curlers in, dip the hair in boiling water for a bit, take out and allow to dry, remover curlers. :D

Have a bow of boiling water, dip pony in, comb hair straight, put hair in curler, dip hair in while in curler, let dry over night.

or you can try to PM FireMuse, she has a GREAT curling system :)

failing all else curling irons work as well :)

I use strong hold mousse, holds nicely :) and doesn't leave it sticky!

Thank you all very much for answering my post! I really appreciate it. I think I will try the dipping the hair in boiling water technique!

My fiance (who isn't very hip to my little ponies) might get a kick out of the thought of boiling ponies. He's such a brat ^_^.

That IS a cute tutorial...I might try that out too because the curls are sooo nice! Thanks for posting the link ^_^
