The Columbus Toy & Game Show (Columbus, OH) will be held on March 17th! I live right near the expo center and I'm very excited to attend. The celeb guests are cast members from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, but I am most excited to hunt down some ponies in the wild! Will anyone else be attending this event? If so, I also recommend a stop at Big Fun, the vintage toy store nearby!

i can't attend this one due to my ankle injury but i can vouch for this show, along with Big Fun and the Great Ohio Toy Show in Xenia, which is on march 30! i'll be there in spirit

Oh no, I hope your ankle heals quickly! I was at Big Fun this afternoon and they had some beautiful Rainbow Curl ponies with their hair done SO nicely. I almost bought one, but I told myself I would only buy things from my want list. I may have to add them to it soon, though! They were so pretty in person!

the hair makes the pony sometimes doesn't it? i had a brief interaction with the lady who said she does their hair while i was in the process of buying a cranberry muffins from them some months ago. iirc she just likes to do it for fun and doesn't know a lot about ponies.

I have this one on my radar, no plans yet though! I'm in IL so it's about a 5 hour drive, which isn't bad, especially if I make it a weekend and visit the zoo or something else as well

The zoo is nice! We also have a great science museum (COSI), awesome hiking not far away (Hocking hills), and lots of cool places to shop or eat (the German Village, Short North arts district, Easton Town Center, and an awesome little Japanese market at Kenny Centre!) If you are staying over I would recommend staying in Dublin, Grandview, or Upper Arlington which are nice parts of town.

yes!!! i was planning to go with my friends. they weren’t happy when i told them we have to leave at 8am at the latest bc its about an hour drive from where i live. im gonna be looking for my biggest iso’s

Hello!! Just wanted to jump on this thread to say hi to the other Ohio pony people. I’m in Cleveland!
I also did not know about this. Thank you for sharing. I may try to attend if I can.

Hi! If I see any good lots in the Cleveland area I will send you a message, maybe you could do the same for me if you see any near Columbus? :lolpony:

Did you have any pony luck?
I did! Haven't had time to post yet, but I got a pizza petite, a Medley pin from 1983, and Sweet Notes with her guitar (she was a steal at $25). I also got some holographic Michael Jackson stickers and a Pee Wee Herman action figure :redheart: AND one of the pony vendors turned out to be a family friend of my buddy who came to the expo with me, so I have a new local pony friend!
There were SO MANY PONIES! Most were in poor condition or overpriced, but I still had a ton of fun digging through the bins of them!

Oh that is awesome!! Glad you were able to find some good stuff!
Now I’m thinking I should have made the trip down for that show. Maybe next time.
