So I recently came into possession of a G1 Lullaby nursery (which my friend was sweet enough to buy for me) and Paradise Estate. :satisfied: While they are both lovely they do need a bit of a clean up. I've cleaned G3 playsets before but I have no idea on how to clean/fix up G1 playsets.

Lullaby nursery is the messier of the 2 but it has most of the accessories. Some of the labels on the outside are peeling. Paradise on the other hand is only slightly dirty but missing nearly all the accessories, including the plants, gate and windows. The roof parts are a little bit faded, pink-wise. Otherwise, it's in fairly good condition. Any help would be appreciated as I've wanted both of them for ages and I have time now to devote to a pony project. :)

I do have photos of both playsets on my computer but no idea on how to post them!

Just use a Magic Eraser (but avoid the stickers and decals) for the dirt. If it's yellowed and you want to fix that, it's a different story. :)

Like Skeen said magic erasers work wonders! If you need to get to small details cleaned I suggest using a touch of dish soap and a children's tooth brush to scrub at it. Just be sure to avoid the stickers and decals because they will come right off.

Um...what's a magic eraser? Maybe we have a different name for it in England, if we have them.

But the toothbrush is a good idea! I was wondering how to get into the little cracks and nooks of the nursery. I'll get one tomorrow. And the Paradise estate came to me in separate parts so that'll make that easier to clean.

Thanks for the help so far, guys! :satisfied:

The magic eraser is a Mr.Clean product. I think Mr.Clean is called Mr.Proper in England?

Some of the labels on the outside are peeling. - rubber cement should help

as for the cracks that dirt gets into, I used toothpicks on my nursery and that worked

For yellowing, I need to take pictures, but I painted my nursery, and my show stable, then put a glaze over it, and LOVE the results
