Pony base was mailed to me by customer~ it is a generation 3 open-mouthed pose.

Did a base coat of Gesso to provide a texture for the paint work to bond to.

Full body repaint in antique white cream acrylics. Eyes painted in my anime/realism-fusion style, teeth are cut from white leather with charcoal black lines painted on.

Glasses are crafted from transparent plastic from pony packaging, lined in red acrylic paint. Punctured holes on each end of the lenses and fastened shiny red wire for the frames through the holes with wire. Took thick black leather thread and carefully coated it in Tacky Glue, then strung beads on it so they’d glue in place then tied them to the glasses.

Mane is re-rooted in dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in the colors Pomme d’ Amor, and a custom blend of vampire kiss and venom. Permanently styled in my hair gel method.

Ears- cut cone-shaped pieces from dark purple leather, painted magenta stripes on them, then sealed in mod podge. Pinned and glued into place, with small tufts of white faux fur on the insides.

Tail- Grabbed a coat hanger with thick wire, carefully cut it with wire cutters and shaped it with pliers. Threaded it through the tail hole like a regular pony tail, and clamped the end on the inside to anchor.

Cut the base of the tail from thick red leather. Stitched wide magenta ribbon over the red leather, then stitched purple stripes. Folded the layers around the wire and did a long running stitch to the tip.

Base of tail is pinned in place.

Outfit- started with the striped hind leg stockings. Used some wide magenta ribbon as tail and hand-stitched the purple stripes on. Cut shoe soles from same purple leather as ears, got out a matching deep purple satin material. Hemmed the top of the shoes with raspberry colored faux fur and glued it down in some spots.

Next, I hand-stitched the pants from black and white pin-striped material. Detailed legs with yellowgold rhinestones. Stitched red ribbon straps on each side.

Next outfit layer is the white undershirt. Cut and stitched from a nice thin white material, sleeves and collar line are white bias tape. Glued white pearl rhinestones on the sleeves for the buttons.

Tied and stitched a red/white striped ribbon bow in place around the collar.

Red & black over-vest- started off with the black middle piece. Cut from very wide black bias tape, stitched where needed, stitched fold black ribbon and a shaped gold buckle for detail.

Stitched two running red flaps for each side, stitched to the black bias tape. Large gold metallic rhinestone button detail.

Stitched a long piece of the red cotton fabric to go around the back of the neck, and stitched a nice stiff black wide ribbon hem along the top of it to complete the vest.

Last piece I crafted for the outfit, is the matching scarf. Assembled the layers identically to how I stitched the tail, only minus the leather base. So got all the stripes stitched on, then folded the entire piece over as necessary and did a long running stitch to finish the piece.

Pony base is a McDonald’s generation 3 My Little Pony.

I boiled the pony in hot water, then carved the hard tail off.

Body coated in a base coat of Gesso to give texture for acrylic paints to bond to, then a full body repaint job in pale gray acrylic paints. Built up paint texture on front legs and top half of face to a over coat of black. Eyes painted red like drawing reference I was given, and pink lips.

Mane and tail are hand-stitched faux fur pieces. Black leather used on the ears, then cream fur inside the ears. Tied a nice light red bow on the tail.

Outfit- started with hand-stitching the pants from a greenish tan fabric. Stitched tiny pockets with white button, stitched to pants. Stitched a pale pink top from nylon material with a small trim of white lace along the top hem of the shirt. Darker pink hemp cords used for the tank top straps.

Bracelets- started with a underlayer of orange hemp cord wrapped around a leg. Then strung tiny plastic beads on floral wire for the bracelets, then crafted the necklace. Cross pendant with one light blue bead strung on top of it on thick black leather thread tied around the back of the neck.

Finished this custom off with magenta rhinestone hearts for the cutiemark area above pants pocket on one side, then tiny rhinestones on the ears for earrings. Did silver hoop earrings by punching holes in ears with a leather puncher then fixing the hoops through with pliers.

Next,
Lolita Lace Princess Cadence

lolita_lace_cadence_by_lightningsilver_mana-d96qtjz.jpg

Original design idea by me, that turned into a commission request once I started talking about it in a comment thread~
I read a mlp fan fic Magic In The Stars by that made me like Princess Cadence. So I wanted to make a custom of her but to personalize the design, I wanted to redesign her in Lolita lace fashion.

Pony base is a styling sized pink Princess Celestia. I reshaped the eyes to match more closely to Cadence, and textured them in my own style and expression.

Painted purple gradient wing tips. All paint work is acrylics, and is sealed in Artists Varnish.

Wings, cutiemark & eyes embellished with rhinestones.

Mane and tail are re-rooted: purple strip at the front of the mane is dollyhair nylon mlp hair in the color mulberry crush, and also some recycled mulberry crush hair from another princess pony. The pinkish purple is raspberry sorbet nylon mlp hair from dolly hair, the yellow is a custom blend of lemonade & yellow fever nylon mlp dollyhair with yellow jonquil nylon hair from RetrodollsUS.

Outfit- Started with the bottom layer of the dress. Light beige crushed velvet with pleated pale pink lace stitched along the bottom. Pleated some white lace and stitched a string of pearls over top, and stitched beige and pale pink beads below it.

Then the next layer, I took a pink and beige paisley print fabric and stitched two lines of pleated white lace with shimmery teal scarf material over top. Lined the sides with another texture of white lace, and stitched a nice robin egg blue scarf material along the bottom train with pearl beads stitched over top. Finished with a faux fabric pink flower on the tail.

Then the sleeves- stitched from the same paisley material as the train, stitched pleated white lace on the cuffs of the sleeves with various white and pearl beads stitched atop the lace. Layered 2 widths of white silk ribbon on the sleeves, stitched in place. Did small string of pink and beige beads near the torso sections.

Neck collar- started with a dyed gray lace, tied it in a bow. Cut Cadence’s gold armor crest from faux gold vinyl, cut folded and stitched where needed to make the shape detail.

Stitched a white heart button over a shimmery teal scarf bow I made, stitched into place. Finished with a top layer of the stringed pearls stitched to white ribbon then tied around back of neck.

Cut her crown from the gold faux vinyl, detailed in purple bead and rhinestones.

Rest of her hair accessories is beads strung on floral wire, scarf material tied and stitched in place, and more faux floral pieces.

Lastly,
Phoenix Firefly commission

pheonix_firefly_by_lightningsilver_mana-d97d951.jpg

Commissioned request by to craft her OC Phoenix Firefly into a generation 4 princess custom pony figure.

This particular design is customer’s OC Phoenix spliced with the generation 1 My Little Pony named Firefly.

Pony base is a generation 4 pink Princess Celestia pony. I boiled her to loosen the plastic so I could carve her head off and things easier

Boiling the plastic also made it so I could re-position her wings downward.

Painted hooves and eyes in acrylic paints, sealed in Artists Varnish.

Used faux fur on mane, tail and wings and dyed feathers on mane & tail, then around the neck. Embellished the neck with chain, rhinestones and beads, also put rhinestones on foot armor, eyes, and some stone and bead accessories on the left side of the forehead.

Firefly’s cutie mark is 4 lightning bolts I cut from dark blue dyed leather.

Sword- cut out 2 layers of it from thick black leather, glued them together then cut another layer from double folded silver faux vinyl, glued those on the outsides.

Painted the whole thing in sterling silver acrylics, then built up a gradent starting with matte gray at the bottom, then blending to metallic olive green in the middle then metallic powder blue at the top. Then layered glitter acrylics, silver at the top blending to turquoise, then olive green glitter, then rose and purple at the bottom.

Hilt is a thicker wooden dowel, glued to the blade with black ribbon wrapped and glued around it.

Hilt has more faux silver vinyl wrapped around it with 2 red rhinestones to finish. Top of handle has leather wrapped around the top.

That covers it for this month, thanks for looking~

And as per usual, commissions always open always feel free to request away~ paid works get top priority
