Any info on this vintage Japanese bank?

I found this in the thrift store today. I thought it was cute! I gave it a cleaning and there’s nothing wrong with it other than loose glue which is expected at this age

Anyone know what this is? Japanese kitsch bank of some sort? Year? I don’t see much info online.

There's some similar style ones that I found on Etsy with quick search. Looks like that's a puppy? There's a kitten with bluish and with pink fur.

There's one with a sticker that says Tamano. So probably 60s or 70s?

No sticker or anything but “Japan” on the bottom

I read that they were from the 1950s, and may be for dispensing tissues.
