Okay. I bid on the auction right when it was put up, in hopes of getting it for lower than the BIN price (which I don't even remember now).. and no one decided to bid after me. Maybe it was the lack of picture, or the confusing description "moc" "played with condition" ? But, hey, my max was $15 or so.. so I couldn't lose too much, right?

Well for some reason she ended the auction early. lol.. I don't know why. I think it was two full days, but I could be wrong and it was only a five-day auction. But she ended it with no contact from me and no emails from her.

I received an invoice on 7/27, and today (7/30) it arrived in the mail. I DID NOT PAY because it says in the description she did not want to take paypal.

Baby Toe Dancer was in much better condition than I expected.. she's still on the card and all glue is intact. But the auction states that..
YOU ARE GETTING A FREE PONY WITH IT YOU ARE GETTING UK SPORTS TIME FREE AS A GIFT . I REALLY HOPE THIS PONY GETS A GOOD HOME BECAUSE WELL SHE NEEDS ONE I NEED TO TAKE CARE OF MY MOTHER IN LAW THANKS FOR READING ALL THIS AND TAKE CARE AND HAPPY SHOPPING WITH EBAY. THIS IS SOLD AS IS NO REFUND THANK YOU FOR READING.

Weeeeeeeeell.. no Sports Time. I feel weird about complining because she said that it was so she could make money to see her sick Mother in Law.. and if you look at the ending price it was only $10. But again, it was in the auction..

I got a great deal on the MOC baby. So should I just let the rest alone and ignore the fact that I was supposed to get another pony, or should I complain and start a whole issue about the auction not being completed?

And why the heck did she send it before I paid? lol.

I say, you only get to complain to her if you're going to pay. If you're not, that's between you and God. But if you ARE going to pay, I don't think you'd be out of line to politely ask about the other pony - although it kinda sounds like the seller's got a lot of issues going on. So, don't hold your breath. It might be that cheap MOC is the end of it, so you're still OK!

Good luck!

wow...thats by far the weirdest situation I've ever heard. If it were me (although I'm not too fond of the ballerina ponies) I'd tell the seller that she could have gotten better money for her, since she needs it for her sick mother in law, and if she wants it back, I'd send it back, and if she didnt care or I got no reply, I'd keep it. But thats me.

Thats so weird of the seller

okay, so let me get this straight.

You win an auction for less than the BIN price.
Pony gets sent to you.
You never paid for the pony.
Now you want to complain to the seller that the other pony mentioned in the auction you did not pay for, has not arrived?

is that what you're saying?

now that i know i'm not the only person reading it that way, i'd have to agree with Shlugh.

I'd try and pay for the pony. I'd feel incredibly guilty otherwise, even if it was the sellers goof for sending first. If she's having to take care of a sick relative, maybe she's under a lot of pressure and it's causing her to be a bit sloppy? I would email her nicely, tell her that you'd really like to pay and ask gently about the free gift pony the auction promised. If she doesn't reply in a decent amount of time, maybe you could get eBay invovled? That's what I'd do.

Re:

I agree with baggins lover.

It isn't really stealing since the seller sent it on her own free will.
But you should still pay. I guess you will.

When you do you can tell her about that you were dissapointed in that you didn't get Sports Time since that was acually stated in the auction.
You have the right to her as long as you pay.

You don't have to give her a hard time. Just ask politely. Hopefully it's an understanding person. Or it's one of those jerks who are gonna say that they were nice and shipped it fast and you should be thankfull for that... You never know.

But as long as you pay you have the right to get everything that is stated in the auction description.

I hope it works out for you :)

LOL. I haven't even finished reading the replies yet, but I have to set this straight first =)

Of COURSE I'm going to pay for it. How could I not? Even if I was completely broke (which I'm not) and had to delay payment, I would still definitely pay. I have a conscience, lol.

I got it for less than the BIN because I bid on it instead of using the BIN option. I don't know *WHY* she ended it early, and I was the only bidder. So in reality it *IS* my pony.. just, shouldn't be quite yet.

If she intended to give me the second pony also, why wouldn't she send me together? that's where .. one .. of my questions on this came from. it's as if she didn't intend to give it to me, even though it was listed.

I know it was a steal of a price, but I did bid fairly and the auction did run MOST of it's course, so it isn't my fault that it didn't go higher. So I should find out about getting that second pony.. right?

But again, YES I'm going to pay. I was just waiting for a reply from her to see what she said, and what all of you thought. But payment is going to be on it's way regardless. =)

***edit: okay, I read the rest. I'm going to check my mail now and see what she says about the other one, but like I said, I am going to pay. I don't want to steal the pony from her..

As for adding in extra because of the low price, I'll see what I can do. I'm far from poor right now but I'm not very "well off" either. But I do also have to keep in mind that she could have listed the item better (pics, interpretable description, etc), and could have let the auction run it's course. I probably would have been sniped out of the running for it, if it had. So I'll see about adding a little more to the total (at least to cover the shipping, which was stated as free), but I won't bankrupt myself trying to make sure the seller is getting the right amount for her pony.

And I think she is a collector, because she's listed as living in the US and knew that the "free pony" was a UK exclusive Sports Time. So she probably did know the value, or at least a good guess, of the MOC baby.

finally got a reply to my email..

I sent you the pony if you haven't sent me the money that is alright the uk loose pony I couldn't find it we had to hurry and move if you want to keep the moc pony then you can please send me email and tell me if you just want to keep it and if you prefer , to send it back and get your money back please let me know we just moved

Okay so.. she lost the other part of the auction? If I ask her to find it it'll take forever because she just moved, and she'll get angry for the lack of payment. But if I sent the payment I'm basically guaranteed to not get the other pony. =/
