2009 G3s body make over??? Is this true?

Ok I heard that G3s were suppost to get a new look or a "body Makeover" in 2009. Is this true? I mean after seeing the new 09 easter and valentine ponies I'm beyond disappointed. The bodies look the same, and its the same old core 7 and the same accessories. I'm so angry with hasbro. I know they make ponies for children. But honestly if the kids must be getting tired of the same old. Hasbro is probably going to go out of business making G3 ponies due to their lack of creativity. I don't want to this to happen. But sales are probably going to drop and g3s probably won't be sold anyone after next year. Sorry for my rant.

My big question is, did anyone else hear that hasbro was giving the g3 line a new look? If so, is it just a rumor and its not going to happen? Or are they going to make the same ponies over and over and the only thing we will have to look forward to is maybe a new type. Like boys next year.(and thats just very wishful thinking when it comes to hasbro)

I hear the g3 ponies were going to look more pig like.

That stinks! So maybe it was my imagination. I dream of more pretty looking g3s then what hasbro keeps making. Thanks SS
 
I think it's very unlikely their body mold (singular these days, sadly) will change, because then the nasty plastic clothes Hasbro is suddenly so fond of wouldn't fit the ponies in the line.
 
At this point, i'll hope for anything that will change even only a bit the **** core 7 line....

Huh, body make-overs? I've never heard anything about this. Where did you get your information?

It would be cool if they all weren't in that same pose...
 
Honestly, I don't know how little girls stand it! I'd hate buying my children the same ponies over and over agian. It just seems like a waste of money.

Plus there's only one Peg and one Unicorn (I think?)!! No boy ponies and no sea ponies......

I don't understand what has happened to Hasbro.
 
The molds I can take, the same 7 ponies over and over and over again is getting old:nodno:
 
I read it a while ago. I was doing a yahoo search and found another pony forum that had a post about this topic. I forget what the forum was called though. I can try to find it again. They didn't say definitely hasbro was going to re do the bodies, but it was a rumor. I guess thats all it was, a rumor.

In that one no one is actually saying Hasbro will redesign the body molds . . . It's just speculation on what Hasbro will do if Core 7 fails. (Since the earlier G3 years were a success, from the Celebration set to Butterfly Island set, I would hope they'd just go back to using a more diverse marketing scheme instead of trashing G3 altogether.)
 
Well I'll drip my head in creamy cheese, that is the post I saw. I totally assumed didn't I. Maybe wishful thinking, idk. Sorry everyone, I hope I didn't upset anyone. I'm just hoping I guess and alittle upset with the not so creative hasbro.

I think we all feel a little wishful sometimes :)
 
odd that with pony project they promoted creativity and diversity but still the issue the same 7 over and over.

Here's a pony for everyone to create something new, but we are going to stick with the same 7 over and over. Must be hard for the designers to keep thinking of new ideas to keep those seven fresh for people to buy.

And can you buy the outfits single? And if it was for the outfits, why aren't all ponies sold with an outfit?
