Would you like to design the official 2008 Ponycon Mascot?
Remember Sprinkles and Morning Star? You could be the designer of 2008 Ponycon's Mascot!
The winner not only gets to see their design used on official Ponycon merchandise and promotions, but also receives a 10 pound credit at our merchandise store!!
We have a new way of holding this competition this year! For the Mascot Design Competition, you must use Hasbro lineart. The reasoning behind this is because this is meant to be a design competition, as opposed to an art competition. We feel this will encourage more people who perhaps don't feel they are artists to enter, and this was our best idea on how to level the playing field, per se. Examples of lineart that you are free to use can be found at UKPonycon/Mascot Competition/Lineart - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting. Lineart not found in our examples library is subjected to committee approval - please PM me if you need to use lineart not provided. Artists, don't fear! We will be holding an art competition immediately following the design competition!
Please make your design no larger than 600x500 pixels.
As far as the design goes, you are free to go wherever your creativity takes you! Perhaps you could base it on the location, or the convention's theme of Birthday Party! Anything goes!
Entrants are NOT restricted to UK residents: Anyone can enter!!

Deadline is Sunday, March 23!!
Staff members are allowed to apply.
The finalists will be shortlisted by the committee and the winner will be decided in a board member poll!
Any committee member who enters this contest will be excluded from voting in the shortlisting process. Entrants' names will be kept anonymous until the winner is announced.
