I have a wanted ad on Craigslist for Ponies and occasionally someone will contact me. The latest seller has no understanding of her collection's worth and is not willing to go down in price or bargain at all. "These are VINTAGE COLLECTORS items!!" Um, yes. Lickety Split and Peachy are... vintage... She has some really nice stuff in good condition, and I would love to have them, but nothing is really rare. Lots of commons and playsets, albeit in very good condition. I believe I offered her a good price, but she'd rather it just sit in storage, I guess. It's just frustrating.
If she thinks they're that valuable I don't get why she doesn't sell them on eBay.
Isn't a price for a mixed lot going to pretty much always be lower than what you would get for selling everything separately? Am I way off, here?
Just needed to vent a little, thanks for reading.
