Childhood Ponies

I had Baby Tiddley-Winks and Happy Hugs. I found my Tiddley on my last trip to my parents' house... Still trying to find Happy Hugs though.

I remember Ivy, the mail order pony (Seafoam?) and Morning Glory. Sundance was my sister's, in that when we got the duplicates, I got Ivy and she got Sundance. I remember the combo pack with both ponies, where one side (display side?) had a balloon around the cutie mark. It came with a birthday cake, I believe.

The cartoon had G1 episodes and the MLPTales opening, so I wanted just ANYTHING about the Tales girls, but got nothing except for that 1 minute opener. Now that I see them for sale, I'd only wish they were more in my price range! I didn't understand that MLP had different generations back then.

We also played alot with this one line of fakies, where the babies sat on their butts and had pearlized booties and cloth diapers and could drink 'n wet.

Butterscotch was my first but Firefly and Melody were my favorite. They flew all over my neighborhood on many adventures!

Aww... It's topics like this that make me wish I had actually had at least one regular size pony as a kid... She would've been loved to bits, I'm sure.

I only ever had Petite Ponies as a kid. The first ones I got were Whirly and Topper, the two ponies that came with the Petite Carousel. Others were European Puddles and Tabby (who came with playsets as well). And I had a couple of Petite 4-packs, but it's hard to discern which, since any guide I see pairs ponies I have with others I don't have/remember. Le sigh. Petites are kind of vague like that.

When I found out the MLP Tales ponies were sold in Portugal (here. The backcard is Spanish, but the sticker on the top right is from the Portuguese distributer), I was kind of... Disappointed? Angry? Well, seeing how much they go for these days while knowing one of them could've been a childhood friend of mine is kind of disheartening. So close, and yet so far...

I know I had the Pony carry case (6 stalls) and a single stall. What were they called? I'd love to find them now....

One day, after I finish my collection (ha - ha), I hope to try and get all of my childhood ponies MOC/MIB... I have them all right now, loose:

Dance 'n Prance DJ (Actually MINE from my childhood)
TAF Milky Way (Again, this is my actually pony from childhood)
TAF Sugarberry
Princess Brush 'n Grow Glittering Gem
Tropical Pony Sea Breeze
Sparkle Pony Twinkler
Merry Go Round Tassles
Happy Tails Romper

May be forgetting some of them... but those are the ones I definitely remember having. And my DJ still works!!

Also, on a similar note - I was actually able to buy my Rapunzel from a childhood friend - so I remember playing with her all the time, even though she wasn't actually mine - she is now!

My childhood ponies were (adult) Wavedancer, (nss) Cherries Jubilee, (nss) Sundance, Fizzy, Honeysuckle, 1st tooth Baby Lickety Split, newborn baby Shaggy, and princess Glittering Gem. :3 They were played with and loved a lot as a kid, and are still in good condition.

I had... a lot :)
My first and favorite was/still is Shenanigans, but my other favorites were Cotton Candy and Candy Apple.

I had lots of them as a kid.

Cotton Candy-my first
Wave Jumper -only adult sea pony I had & I always loved the sea pony art. I remember having a coloring book with sea ponies that I never colored for fear of ruining the art.
Sea Star & Tiny bubbles
Misty & Sealight
baby Glory
Moonstone
SS Lickety-Split- I still have her :)
TW Speedy
Tropical Breeze
Princess Starburst
Cloud Dreamer
Swirly Whirly
Happy Tails Tabby

ah, memories. I want to get all the ones I had as a kid, but so far I've only bought when it was a good deal so I still have a long way to go.

My only store-bought G1 was Ruby Lips. Then I got beach balls, star hopper and Sunset, and then g2's came out. My first G2's were Sundance and Cupcake. I steadily got hold of all the regular G2 releases except Secret Surprise friends Sky Skimmer.

and Phekzhen, Sundance and Ivy were in separate sets, so there's some more childhood ponies you must have had! Sundance came with Lightheart and they had the balloons on their symbols on one side and came with cake, cards and party hats, and Ivy came with sweetberry and they had leaves on their symbols on one side and came with a flower basket and flower barrettes.

I had a ridiculous number of ponies when I was little, although the 'older' ones were nearly all second hand and so bought for pennies.

First tooth babies.
Buttons
Berrytown family.
All tales ponies.
Newborns
Baby Ruby
Princess Ruby with bushwoolie.

Baby Candy
Rose Dust and Baby Blossom (these were hand me downs)

Baby Mischief
Baby Welliboot
Pony bride
Merrytreat
All precious pocket ponies
Halfnote
All teeny tiny ponies
Spangling Secret

Hopscotch
Baby Bridesmaid
Tuneful
Baby Lemondrop with carriage.
Baby Halfnote
Baby Bowtie and Baby Applejack (Mum got these from her school when they were getting rid of old toys).
All Baby Ballerina's.
Blue belle (although she was called Mummy Starlight....)
All playschool babies.
All cookery ponies
Baby Fun and games
Best friend ponies
Surprise twins pony
All surprise newborns
All bedtime newborns

I think that's everyone... also had Dream Castle, Crimp and Curl hair salon, Kiss Curl's beauty parlour, school house, kitchen, lullaby nursery (second hand) and Baby Bonnet's school of dance (second hand).

I was the youngest and only girl...and mum and dad went to toy fairs a lot so bought a lot in bulk. The shops were also selling off ponies for cheap, and one near me would get in stock from other countries and warehouse remainders.
