What do you think of the new G4 molds?

It's almost like the same exact situation that happened with G3.5- they changed the toy molds unexpectedly and most people were pretty unfavorable about the new design.

Maybe if Hasbro sees that people are mostly unhappy about the new molds, they'll switch them back, or simply try again with a better design.
 
They look like there on some kinda happy drugs if you ask me.

Haha unlikely. Hasbro doesn't care as long as they get cash. As a company that's been around for decades, they're used to letting insults, whining, demands and complaints roll right off their back. People whined about G4s design at first and Hasbro was like; You don't like em? Too bad for yooou.

Their heads are a bit too big, but depending on the pose some look better than others.

Fluttershy with folded wings? I haven't seen that one. I will admit I DO like the unicorn horns better on these. They look more like horns and less like icecream swirls on their foreheads.
 
I like them...because I won't need to spend any money to buy them! Horrible choice Hasbroken!
 
Eventually this happens to all generations of MLP. They release something just awful, but the whole thing makes me happy in a way. It just may mean that G5 could be on the way and oh how I hope it is something awesome!!! I am really looking forward to a new concept and something fun.

I think we maybe have like one or two years left of G4 because there is around a seven months until the movie and I don't think we are going to get a season 7. (and if we do, it will only be around 13 episodes long, wrapping up loose ends) and then after the movie we will probably get a year more of toys and then it will fizzle out for a while and then maybe in a year or two we'll get G5.
 
I like the new variety in poses, they're (mostly) cute! I'm not really an active g4 collector, I mostly collect previous gens, but from what I've seen and have, most of the ponies stand the same way and it's a bit boring, so this is a welcome change. I love their horns too! Their heads are huge though. Some of the open-mouthed poses look kind of cute while others look awkward. And I agree that they don't look so close to the show style like this.
 

The dad from I married an axe murderer sums up their heads quite nicely.
