What do you think of the new G4 molds?

So these are the new G4 molds that will be popping up in stores soon. We actually have these in the Target here already. I love Twilight and Lyra's pose (actually, there is a more dynamic new Twilight pose out there and that's the one I love) but I don't like the heads on any of them. They seem much too big and round. We finally get new poses and they mess up the heads? Sheesh. Also, Rarity's new pose. . . .just no. I know ponies in the show do that, but in a toy it just looks so wrong.
 
I totally agree with you on the heads, especially since the ears look too small for them now! I also kinda think that the legs look weirdly skinny and almost bowlegged when viewed from the front and back. However, I have to admit that I like how Hasbro is adding greater variety to poses, and is even working on its accuracy with the eye designs.
 
To me, they don't look like the ponies from the show anymore . I do like that they are coming out with the ponies in new poses, but I would like them to look like they did in FiM. Their horns are also different. Maybe I'll warm up to them.
 
I'm on the fence about them. They're cute I guess, but they don't look like MLP to me. G4 grew on me, so I guess these 4.5 will too, but right now I'm reserving judgment until I buy a few and get to look at them up close.

I'm still not sold on the jointed ones, if you want the truth.
 
I was happy for the new poses, but the heads just... NO.

Some friends have posted them and I just do not like them, in first place I barely buy G4s due to lack of variety and same pose... but at least the heads were better looking... And now with the reboot of the toys, simply NO. Unless someone gifts me one (and I can't say no to that person), I will not be getting anyone of this ponies.
 
I've never been huge into G4 because they looked like mice to me... The new poses make them look like mice with squash bodies and disjointed arms to me.

They just look so... Wrong. And unwieldy. I'm really curious if they're stable (pun intended!) or if they will fall over a lot
 
I think the ones with the closed mouths look ok. I don't know I would like them either. I have to see them up close to make further judgement.

That's an interesting thought. You have to wonder how stable Rarity, in particular, would be.
 
THE HorroR the HORROR ...... run off crying. Sorry I just don't like them.
 
I like the ones with their mouths closed.. to me they look more like the artwork on the packaging.. But will I collect them? probably not. :-\
 
I'm not a fan. Their muzzles are pretty much non existent. If they hadn't changed the faces so much they would be ok.
 
I like them, some more than others. I think (like G4 in the beginning) they're better in person and out of the box. I love that the unicorns have proper horns now, and I like the wing poses (Fluttershy with folded wings - yes!). Their heads are a bit too big, but depending on the pose some look better than others.

How does the Rarity hoof in that one pose do that? I mean I don't think that is really possible. I know there cartoons and magical but really I think she broke something.
