I just came across this post and find it so interesting! I love creepy stuff and actually have a haunted dresser (believe it or not) I'm very picky on what furniture I like and I came across it one day in a garage sale building and just had to have it. Got it home and it knocks what use to be all the time. Now that it's been in my house a few years it just knocks once in awhile, sometimes it's one loud knock or a bunch in a row. My boyfriend wants to burn it lol. I think it's awesome and fits in with the creepy stuff that goes on in my house.

Many times I have gone through antique stores and I can tell you that there have been pieces of furniture I could tell had bad spirits attached to them. The closer I got to them the worse they made me feel. I remember one in particular was a Victorian set of furniture that included and entire bedroom set. The problems seemed to be with the dresser and I could not go near it. I figure someone probably was harmed near that dresser. It has a terrible story to tell. Then the other time it happened, it had to do with a very old gate from the 1700's. The gate was awful. Even my husband said something was very wrong with that gate. I do not bring things into my home inhabited by spirits. I need peace, light and joy in my life now.

In a way, it's good that your sensitive to such things. An ounce of prevention and all that, ya know?

My mom is starting to think some antique I own is making me sick the issue with that is I have been sick sense I was born. I started getting less sick giving thing home that no one wanted. Yes I am sick a lot but it has nothing to do with my haunted items and I don't plane to give any away anytime soon.

Heres the best photos i could get for the moment. There is a window right behind it so its making the pictures look washed out. Nothing creepy looking about it really, IMO lol. I just really like the way it looked.

I like it and get a good feeling from it. It is a lovely set of drawers.

I forgot to mention it does have a maker stamp in it. It's called French & Heald. I did some research when I first bought it and the company was open from 1856-1967. At some point in time, if I remember right, around 1931 the company burnt down and they had to rebuild it but I could never find an exact year that mine was made.

The story behind the first time it knocked is definitely debunked as well. Atleast I can't find any explanation for it.

I had all the drawers out so I could clean it from the inside out and it did one loud bang like something hit the back of it and I jumped like wth just happened and tried to dismiss it so I went on cleaning and it does 3 more in a row so loud that I felt the vibrations through my cleaning cloth.

I have to admit I ran away from it at that point and just stared at it from a distance until I felt as if it was safe to return. I finished cleaning it, completely freaked out and put it in the room I wanted it in. I filled it with my stuff and like I said on occasion you'll hear the knocks in my living room. I guess I just got used to it bc it doesn't bother me now.

I make Gris Gris bags for protection or Luck. I also cleans things with bad Vibes with Sage,Salt, blessed Oil/water. I keep in contact with Jane Harris She was the Owner of Peggy the Haunted Doll. I adopted Two of my girls that were case studies of hers. She has been very helpful in my learning about haunted dolls.
I wish I had the money to take her online course to be a certified paranormal investigator but sadly money does not fall out of thin air.

I think it's awesome that you do that kind of stuff, Ology. I'd love to be a certified paranormal investigator. I was actually scheduled for a two day overnight stay at the villisca axe murder house and malvern manor but found out I was pregnant and decided it was best not to go since my last visit to malvern I felt like I was being attacked by one of the angry spirits there.

Villisca IS ON MY BUCK LIST I have been to the Myrtles Plantation and to the French Quarter in New Orleans. When I went to the Myrtles Gods It was like I came home. I cried when I got there Happy tear mind you. I got really emotional during the tour which I kind expected the females on my dad side of the family area bit sensitive to a degree.
But I just felt like I came home when I was there I want to go back so bad that place has called to me ever sense I stayed there. Call it a passed life or what you will I just know I want to go back badly.

I had some really wonderful encounters there and in the French quarter and getting to see Marie Lavo tomb was a dream come true I left a offering and I got a blessed necklace from a voodoo priestess there that has giving me good luck ANd protection when I were it. It also is in the shape of a Ankh which I prefer Egyptian items over other things.

If you ever need a Gris Gris bag I be happy to make you one I never charge anything for them. I am learning and I love to help out if I can.

Dowsing and my Dolls are my real Passion and anything with the Egyptian taro and ruin stones I have.

I've always loved Egyptian stuff as well. I'd love to visit Egypt. I'm not a big traveler as I'm not much of a people person but I'd love to see Egypt someday. I even have an Egyptian custom pony I had made for me.

I had actually never heard of a Gris Gris bag and had to look it up. Sounds very interesting and pretty cool.

Yeah I love making mummy ponies with proper spells and all. Egyptology is a great love of mine.

@01mlplover

Everything looks fine with it except for the century old blood on the far right corner and the baby with white out eyes floating above it next to the dead cat. baaaaaa having fun with ya.

I had a dear friend that went to Egypt. They missed a plane somehow. So, someone told them they had to take a bus to the next town over and catch a plane there instead. While on the bus driving through the desert mind you a car load full of militants with military style machine guns began to torment the people on bus. She barely made it out of that situation. Needless to say besides that event, and the fact that in Egypt the water smells like sulfur and the hotels and streets smell even worse...she said is by far the worst vacation she had ever taken. LOL They travel all over the world. They were there to see the pyramids, but they left Africa very quickly after all this went on. I have no idea what the deal was with the water, but I have heard there are some sanitation problems in various places. Sometimes I wonder about people. I mean whose idea was it to get on some unnamed bus and drive through the desert? Earth to thee with head in clouds, common sense would say wait at the stinky hotel another day rather than go through the bad lands. Good grief people.

Then I have another friend that knows a man that brought something back from Egypt and it haunted his house so badly they ended up having to burn it because, they were getting so sick with some odd festering rash and fever that no doctor could fix. Ummm yea nope.

Then I have a friend that went to some beach in Africa and when she came home she got very sick and could not walk on her feet. Turns out she got some rare beach parasite and nearly lost both of her feet.

Tulagirl is in Houston to stay.

@Leave a Whisper It probably does that rocking because it belonged to an old man back in the day and he beat people with his cane and put their dead pets in the drawers. He was like a modern day Freddie. He doesn't want anyone to find the animals so, he likes to slam the drawers and keep them away from the chest. Better watch those fingers.:p:D:rolleyes:

@tulagirl That's so scary! I'm glad your friend made it home a-ok. There are certain places I just wouldn't want to go because of the bad political climates.
