My family decided to spend the day thrifting/antiquing in 'The City' (aka OKC; we country folk don't get down there much lol I think the last time I went to OKC was several months ago). I was thinking to myself the other day how nice it would be to find some more pony plushies, and apparently God thought so too because I now have four more plushies than I did this morning!

I found:

Soapy Smiles for $2.00 at a thrift store

Fluttershy Ty Plush that came in a $5.00 bag of misc. plushies at a thrift store (kept a couple of the Beanie Babies that came with her as well, they're cute!)

They're all nicely sanitized and had their hair washed now <3 I'm happy to note that the ones that had stains have now had them successfully removed as well!

What fun! I love plushies.

So how do you sanitize your new buys? I usually just spritz 'em with Lysol or spot clean them with Resolve, but I'm always interested to see if someone has better methods.

Awesome finds again!! I need to come out where you are to find ponies in the wild. Lol

Hehe thanks! I definitely think we're in a good spot for ponies!

Gorgeous gals! I have such a weakness for pony plushies. :satisfied:

Thank you, me too!

Me too! My family's a bit of a 'make everything you possibly can from scratch' family, so my sister actually makes a natural disinfectant spray that I use. I believe it has diluted alcohol and lemon juice in it, along with a couple herbal oils. I'll have to ask her exactly how she makes it. It works very well for the plushies! I just spray it on and then rub it in so it can get to work. It takes dirt out quite nicely. On the plushies that have hair I wash the hair with shampoo and condition it with fabric softener. Fabric softener does wonders for pony hair, especially the coarse plushie hair.

As for stains, I've found that with a bit of careful scrubbing you can actually use Magic Erasers to get the spots out! I've used it successfully several times, even on a poor Twilight Sparkle plush that had pen markings all over her hooves. The Eraser took them right out.
