The Vinny and Chloe' Chronicles Cats in Mischief Update TodAy

Gosh that is horrible. You need a 24 hour shepherd. LOL Sheep are especially sweet, dumb and vulnerable. This is why I love them. They are just so precious. I can't wait to have some. Its a dream that I have no idea if I will ever see. I am in the city and I don't know how I would end up in the country. Then I would need a border collie for my sheep. Then I must have llamas as well. I also want some of those fancy chickens (Mottled Houdans and Silkies) that people love so much they feed their meals at the human dinner table and take naps with them on the couch. Yep need some peeps.

I love this website so so cute:

Aw, that little lamb is to die for! My mom always wanted the Jacob's sheep, but after we lost the others, we didn't have the heart for it. The llama is a great guard critter. She even chases off coyotes!

I am going to adopt their motto at the bottom though. of the page though. “Time you enjoy wasting, is not wasted.”

Wise words.

What a bummer! My cat broke a old 50's elephant bearer I had and we never did find all the bits. I ended up putting him together without them because they were in the back and I thought no one would see... lol.

Maybe there's enough pieces you could use them in a mosaic?

Yea I already have a broken mouse in my garden. I think most of the ones damaged are those Japan made bone china kittens and cats and some puppies. They were only like an inch or two tall. so, when she batted at them they just flew and crashed into pieces on my dresser. I wonder why I have such an attachment to thingslike this. When they are gifts from friends or family long gone, it just feels like the person died all over again. Maybe I am overly sentimental or something.

There's nothing wrong with being sentimental. A year ago my little ol' dog Pinkie bumped into a shelf and knocked down a little unicorn my husband had bought me. It broke into pieces and I sat and wept like you wouldn't believe. I know I should be way over his death, since he died in 1995, but I guess you just put so much emotional stock into that item, knowing they gave it to you and they're gone, so it's kinda all you have.

It's not rational maybe, but we're emotional creatures. I don't think it's weird to continue to mourn a person, long after they leave us, and maybe memorialize them in the things they gifted us with.

Grieving is something very individual. There is no one set way to grieve, so there's no 'wrong' way to do it. So, NO, not strange at all to be upset when something someone gone gave you is broken even though they passed years ago.

The problem with youngins' like you have is that they get into anything and everything they can. When Tanger was a kitten he broke a cool bowl I made when I was in a college pottery class. It was sitting on a low bookshelf I had and he put his paws on top of the bookshelf and just flipped the bowl right off. Why did he do it? No idea, other than kittens are crazy, but oh, was I mad at him!

Until they get a little older, it might be a good idea to put away anything breakable that you really value. Even if the little dwingles haven't noticed something yet, they might soon.

Yea, I thought these were out of their reach. They were on a shelf almost to the ceiling. I did not account for Chloe using my tin dollhouse as a trampoline to get up there and I guess she missed, as a lot of my petite ponies have fallen over. I put so much of my stuff in china cabinets and crates. I am running out of room to hide things.

@Skygleamshine

my husband went with me to a place called Adventures in Birds and a parrot screamed so loud every time my husband would pass by. If my husband tried to talk to him, he squawked even louder. It was so funny. I really think the parrot disliked the color of his shirt. Its like, he fella get away from my cage you look like a scary baboon boof. Lol

Birds are really funny like that. They just decide they dislike someone (and it can change to another person in the blink of an eye) and they just fuss and fuss. I have three cockatiels that were mom's. Both Malarkey and Bo HATED when mom got on the phone and they would scream and scream. i guess they thought it took her attention away from THEM. Lily couldn't give a flip. Now though, LILY is the one who hates the phone. Malarkey and Bo don't care because I'm not mom. They don't want me 100% of the time like they did her.

I have a hard time putting up all my knicky knacks for the cats because I have so many. I'm sorta wacky for the knick knacky. If it's funky and weird or kitschy, I want it.

Seriously, I blame my mom. She was a bona fide hoarder. I inherited it from her! (At least I don't keep stacks of old newspapers. Yet.)

Oh I know it, it runs in my family too. The only paper kept was jan 1 2000. We figured it would be a historical paper one day. I love all the kitschy stuff also. I love everything. Its an illness lol.

I'm beginning to suspect we were separated at birth, you and I.

Now to haul feed. Bleah. Someone save me!

Today, I plan to try to pull the dresser out to see if my other kitschy kitten is under there.

In the mean time, can you see what has the cats so excited? "ooooooo what is that?" LOL I call this window vision.

"Dear mommy, I am sorry I broke your very special figurines. Dad plans on taking me to Wal-mart and I will try to buy you new ones." Chloe'

"Well, do you have a time machine? These are from 1950 and 1960?" I ask?
"A new toy might work?" Chloe thinks.
Meh

Awwww, how could you stay mad at such a cute widdle face!? Pssst, that's why kitties are so cute, so you forgive them when they ruin your valuables.

Better be careful with that little girl, she'll use that cuteness to get away with anything and everything. :)

Oh yes she knows how to play her kitty cards well, that little Zilla monster, stinky face, princess girly.

Okay so, do you guys remember when I told you that my cat Vinny likes to sleep with a sock filled with catnip and that we don't ask questions? I can stick that sock just about anywhere, but he goes and gets it and sleeps with it. Its so funny. Here is is sleeping with his herbal sock. Don't ask because, I can't explain it at all. I am not even going to try. I never knew a cat could want or have a lovey. The sock is that thing right by his paw.

O_O

That is...... Um....... Interesting XD

Kitties have all sorts of odd quirks. I think they do it to make sure us humans never figure them out. Persnally, I think Vinny's quirk is adorable.

When my Tanger was a kitten, his absolute favorite toy was a shower poof with a little orange and black terrycloth tiger in the middle. He had a ball playing with that thing! Matter of fact, he played with it until every shred of orange netting fell off it then never touched it again. I went out and bought him another one but he refused to even look at it.

LOL that is just like a kid in a way. How funny. I wonder if Vinny will go through blankie trauma if something happens to his catnip sock? I have made him like 4. This is his favorite, but he does carry the other ones around the house. I made them with two baby socks though and this one is made with a pair of my old socks. Maybe that is it. LOL my socks....hmmmm

Hahahaha i enjoyed reading all your kitty and pet stories! I cant keep a pet for health reasons, so reading you guys's stories are good :)
