I have known this story for quite some time.
I have never understand why this story is so "horrible" that kids should not read this... Evil wizard was swalloed.. nothing bad and bloody etc. It won't even say he was killed. Just a normal fairytale.. and nowdays some parents are freaking out because this kind of things.. -.-

Compared to what they are watching now, this is like Sesame Street.

Hahha what a cute story

Yeah, I saw this on the tumbles a while back, it's a interesting story! It's called "Applejacks amazing adventure." A little over simplified, probably to meet a page limit and reading level of small kids. It'd be really cool to see it expanded on, though it's a bit hard to find G1 fanfics, I guess people just aren't interested in writing them. Also interesting how the crystal ponies' story in G4 seems to mix this story with "The return of Tambelon" episodes of G1. :)

I'd actually like to write that, one I finish some other things on the go.

Haha, that's hilarious... *wipes tears from eyes* Thanks for posting that-- I needed a good laugh.

I miss when children's stories weren't taken so seriously.

well that story explains a few things. I do miss stories like these. I agree most bad guys never explains how they just fell off a cliff or something else that happens to them. I like how most of the comics make ponies into superheros hehe. :)

Speaking of the wizard dude grabbing Applejack's mane, apparently horses don't feel pain when their mane are tugged? ...or so I was told by a horse-riding instructor at a school camp some years back!

And hey... where did Sweet Stuff come from??

Also I don't know if I'm the only one, but I kinda wish Applejack went cave-blind so we can have TE versions of her... oh I'm horrible.

That's what customs are for My Dear Ember. ;)

No they don't ;) They won't feel it same way as we do when someone pulls our hair. If you are riding and your balance isn't the best you can grab the horses mane to keep your balance steady. Some people grap the mane when jumping so they hands are steady and not pulling the reins while horse jumps (it is not nice to jumps when someone is pulling your mouth). I usually grap the mane when I'm standing on the stirrups to keep my balance just in case because I do not wanna fall in fast speed.
