MLPTP EVENT ~~* The MLPTP's 2012 Secret Santa Holiday Swap *~~COMPLETE!

oh grrrr...customs

I was hoping you were posting with happy news :-/

as they say "good things come to those who wait" so boy you are saving up to get a great box I hope!

:censored: I was hoping it would of shown up by now. Ya can't miss it when it does get there, it's in a snoopy padded envelope with a christmas theme
The dude at the PO told me they no longer offer surface mail so it had to go via airmail, right?

Do I send new box and hope it gets there?

Okay when it came in an envelope I canÄt miss it - because it will stay diretcly at my post office in my post box. :)
There is no way they tried to deliver it here at home and that neighbours or anybody else took the parcel - because all "envelopes" have to stay at the post office and I'll take them up from there directly.

When you have mailed it around 13th of december there is still hope that it will still show up.
I would definitive say we should at least 2 more weeks before we start to worry. :)

If it ever gets there, you will know what it is right away due to the large padded envelope I put it in.

I don't have much luck with international packages, so this is kinda freaking me out :goingcrazy5B15D:
Never had much luck shipping to Canada and Italy - OMG. No idea what their postal service does but every single pacage I sent to there never showed up and some of the packages were returned to me over a year later. They would have all sorts of writting on them (i'm guessing in italian which I can't read) and the package itself would be ripped/torn/looked like it was in a war zone.

Dear German Customs,
if you are holding my package hostage, I am going to go over there and beat you in the head with a brick!
Sincerly,
Laura Stripp

Does germany have its own customs or it it all regulated by the EU?

Sorry to hear Tikibirds's package still hasn't arrived.

I'm 99,5% sure each country in the EU regulates its own mail influx. If the EU had any say in it, I'm pretty sure the Italian post wouldn't get away with providing such a shoddy service. The horror stories I've heard... D:

Germany has its own customs rules...

I'm still sure your parcel is just slow.
It's always the same around the holiday time - most packages arrive fast and only take 1-2 weeks - but you have always those who take 4,5,6 weeks and longer...anyway if you sent around the holidays or not.

Just to show you an example - when I was at the post office today I received 4 parcels and 2 letter sfrom the US.

1 parcel was stamped 23rd Nov. 2012
1 parcel was stamped 31st Dec. 2012
1 parcel was stamped 5th Jan. 2013
1 parcel was stamped 7th Jan. 2013

And the letters had were stamped on 13rd Dec. and 5th Jan.

You see - you can't tell exactly how long it can take.
And when you've sent 4 weeks ago it's still in time and it can still show up every day. :)

I guess it hasn't to do with the german customs at all.
It's just the float of parcels they receive over the holidays - and they often need weeks to work that all out.

I'll def. keep you updated!!
My next run to the post office will be tuesday. :)

well that does make me feel a little better - especially if one was sent in november...

I'm pretty sure the Italian post wouldn't get away with providing such a shoddy service. The horror stories I've heard... D:
Italy is the one country I will not, under any circumstances, ever ship to again!
:yoda:

I hope it shows up soon, Zaradess!

*starts a campfire and waits for package*

I know.
I was at the post office near every day - and always when I opened my box and saw a big bubbled enevlope I was hoping it's your parcel... but I just got books I bought at ebay this week and a poyn purchase.

But as I said before - there is still a little hope - sometimes you have a parcel that takes longer then the regulare time. Yes, I'm worried to and afraid it could be lost - but orherwise I know that international mail can be tricky and I had parcels in the mail that took longer - so I haven't give up hope yet.

**Hugs**

Yeah, I know it can sometimes take alot longer then its supposed to but still, I can't help but worry. If its not there by the end of the month, I'll work on a new one for ya. I'll be internetless from Jan30-Dec 11th - going on vacation :bliss:

New Week - New day - New Ponies and Great News!!

Guess what Zaradess received today!!?

:guitar::guitar::guitar::guitar::guitar::guitar::guitar:

5 weeks and 4 days after shipping I received my swap box from Tikibirds!! Woohoo!!
When I opened my post box at our post office this morning I saw the Snoopy envelope directly and I danced around with my envelope when I left the post office!!

Thank you Tikibirds - I love anything!!

I'm so happy that it wasn't lost - and as I said before - near 6 weeks at this time of the year can be still normal.
There was never a swap box lost on the way to me - so I was pretty sure that it was just a bit slow. :)

my brag will be up by tomorrow!! *Hugs*
