Takaras outside Japan?

I know that they didn't sell well in their country of origin, and that they go for thousands on ebay (which I don't have). But if there's virtually no hope of finding one in the wild, outside of Japan, is there any hope of trying to contact a company that may have the original molds (Sega Toys, I assume?) to redistribute them? Is there a better chance with fanmade groups, like HQG1C or Welovefine / For Fans By Fans to be up to the task?

They usually make their own moulds from bait type pieces. Making a toy mold isn’t a difficult thing to do now a days with things so readily available online.
You just can’t resell with out permission.
