G1 – G3 Steampunk Pilot Northstar

Remixed original design of the gernation 1 My Little Pony named Northstar, redesigned as a custom pony from a generation 3 base in a steampunk pilot theme.
Pose is engineered from two different generation 3 ponies- body of the core 7 clone pose, head of a different pose. Wings are from a separate generation 3 pegasus pony.
Full body repaint job in custom hand-blend of acrylic paints. I took candy tuft pink, beach comber beige gloss and a pale flesh orange cream pigment and blended them to get a toned down neutral bright pink to match the generation 1 baby version of North Star.
Symbol and eyes hand-painted in acrylics. Eyes include non-opaque, opaque, metallic, neon, matte and glitter acrylic pigments (You need all of them to get that depth).
Mane and tail are re-rooted in RetrodollUS’s nylon hair in the colors butterfly and easter egg. Both light purple.
Outfit is hand-sewn. Started off with the hind leg accessories, thin golden printed leather with white zipper and neutral aqua maxi piping sewn on and a strip of suede beige wrapped around and strips of it going up the insides and outsides of the legs. A periwinkle lace material lined with the neutral aqua maxi piping at the top finished with gray rose earrings punctured on the backs.
Large metal wings are fastened at the bases of the plastic pony wings. Some suede and leather strips wrapped around the flanks and mid-section detailed in a blue clock and golden clock bits.
Sleeves on front legs- Started off with the white zippers, then sewn a thin beige leather lining along the edge, a burnt brown eyelet layer then the beige suede to join the two hues together. Sewed the periwinkle lace at the top to finish it off, then pleated a thin cream silk material with the edges dyed pink.
Chest- Started off with a layer of tattered beige leather scrap wrapped around the front. Lined the top of it with a strip of golden leather, added a large silver buckle on one side, then the navy blue eyelet mater and beige suedestrip. Detailed in various rhinestones, cogwheels, and clock bits.
Pilot helmet is the same thin golden printed leather as on the hind hooves, lined with a fawx beige snake skin piping, detailed in pink hemp cording “X”’d on the side with large clock cog wheels sewn at the ends of the flaps. Goggles are beige leather with silver metallic rhinestones.
