Spirit Riding Free

@tulagirl The pants are painted. The boots and shirt are clothes. At least on the horse and rider set dolls. Dunno about the big ones.

Okay so I am going to get on my soapy again.

Here is the thing. I absolutely hate the fact that toy companies put dolls in painted on underpants to save money. That they think it is perfectly acceptable to paint on a pair of pants and call that a dressed doll. No sir. This is terrible. None of my dolls are leaving the house without their panties on. A doll has to have panties and pants. Barbie has been a disgrace since the 80's when they decided to paint on or create some 3d image of underpants. I think she was much better with real undergarments. All this got started because little boys liked to point at neki Barbies and make rude comments. Now toy companies think they have to paint or sew on permapanties to avoid this undesirable behavior. Some girl has to cry out for girls having a right to have cute and nice underpants and be fully clothed before hitting store shelves. If I want a figure I can go find one of those. A doll is different. Poor lala big girls with those atrocious bums they carry around. I have graced all of my big lalas with a onesie suit under their clothes. So, I will sew pants, or tights or underpants for my dolls. There will be none of this going out in a shirt and painting the bum and thinking that is what we call a sharp dressed doll.

Tee hee

Off the soapy

I say this while my small collection of 60's Barbies still have no undies at the moment. Do you realize the amount of fine motor skill children have lost by not having snaps on doll clothes and panties either for their dolls? Just think about how much better off they would be if we had never invented velcro. Just sayin...worth a thought.:p Bring back the zippers, snaps and dress our dolls in fine clothes.

My cousins used to giggle at all their nekid barbies too. :lolpony:

I guess it is something that happens to everyone or girls with brothers.:) I found a way to get back at them though. Just call all their figures dolls and that really gets them in a twist. I do that to R2 sometimes. If he has a Joe figure or something out, I will put a doll skirt on it. I usually find the skirt in the middle of my floor later. It is as if he threw a fit trying to get it off his figure. Tee hee He put my lala in the dollhouse chimney once. He gets me back. It is kind of fun actually. What really works though is to take a photo of all his star wars figures with a MLP and post it on his facebook page where all the STW buddies see it. He gets the business for months. Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I can't do that anymore because, I don't facebook.

:lolpony: Comedy Gold!

What would even be better is to wait until he falls asleep in his tank top. Sneak over with a Pinkie Pie tatoo. Apply very carefully so he doesn't wake up. Then take a photo....of R2 asleep with a Pinkie tattoo on his shoulder next to his real Darth Vader tattoo. Yep now I have to do this. Post it on Twitter. He will be unable to live that down for months. baaaaaaaa

The Prank War Chronicles: By tulagirl and R2.

Yes they really are my favorite of the riding group. The only thing is my horse has some issues. His mane doesn't go all the way up, the eye on his right side is bigger than the one on the left side, so wrong, the saddle is not the correct size and the length for her where her foot goes in is too short. I forgot what you call that thing. Anyway it just seems that they cut a lot of corners that's for sure. But I really like this toy and I think that it photographs beautifully. I got a couple of blind Barns and I'm really happy with those. So overall even with its flaws I still really like it. I enjoyed making her jeans. I think she looks great in jeans. I have no idea why they didn't just add pants to the dolls. Yes I do the whole world thinks that Perma pants and permapanties are the way to go. Oh well. I was going to get all three, we went to two stores and could only find this one. Spirit riding free was sold out today. I also still can't find my 35th Anniversary Cotton Candy pony. I'm just about to give up.

ok I am sooooo jealous I cant find the horses with hair any where to buy. I want all 4 for my barn. Lucky lucky ducks.

I believe it. I was lucky to find this one. I wanted to get them all also. Oh well. This will probably be the only one I will get since they are selling out so fast. Boy toy lines are going to make some money on SRF for sure.

well if you did not mind model hair I got a extra spirit I custom but I can paint him back to normal colors. He came with my barn don't need two of them unless one has hair lol

Yeah I want the cylsdale badly

Oh that is nice of you, actually I only want the horses with riders because I love the dolls on the horses. I don't think I will be buying the horses by themselves. I have a huge Breyer Stable full of those. I better not go crazy LOL.

My niece learn something Don't stick your finger in the big spirits mouth that eat carrots it will pinch. Reminded me of those cabbage patch kids.

@tulagirl I love the pants you made.

The dolls not being able to fit into the stirrups is a common problem with all horse and rider sets, regardless of who makes them. Even the mighty Breyer screws this up without fail.

Oh I know. One side of his face looks chipmunk-cheeked. XD

His mane doesn't go all the way up, but it is silky and lush, which I appreciate.

He is a very photogenic boy, provided you stay away from his sore toofed side.

I made her long jeans first and I found that it was too difficult with the boots. So, I just made capri style jeans to make room for her boots. It was a fun and a half trying to turn those suckers.

Maybe a bee stung him. That has to be it. He is allergic to bees. I agree he is photogenic. I want to get the other rider sets because, I actually love the dolls and it would be fun to put two riders on one horse too.

The really big dolls like Lucky that came with my spirit that eats has real pants. The thing that got me mad was target three horse friend set show them all in there show clothing. Christmas morning I open mine there all different outfits. So except for Lucky who for some reason my niece wanted her green shirt in trade for her normal shirt have different clothes on. Still painted on pants.

I am going to custom Lucky boots though.
